Typical Apple computer product - nice to look at, horrible in every other regard. Ergonomics look appalling, terrible surface resistance, nasty scroll-wheel.

There are so many more practical ways for a mouse to have buttons and a scroll-wheel, why go for the super high tech method that hardly works?

Don't even think about playing games with that mouse, although if you're a sucker for Apple you're pretty much fucked in that department anyway.

dude, seriously... the scrolling up is a problem? i notice that it's more of a nudging motion for smaller increments of motion since it does seem to be based on acceleration over digital scroll balls. I adjusted to the small nudge motions, you just flick your finger upwards in tiny nudges over the full swipe up for faster scrolling.

I send Apple all my suggestions for 2 finger and 3 finger gestures, plus possible finger combinations if possible for multitouch technology.

This video does a better job explaining to me why very simple packaging often comes with opening instructions. Even the simplest tasks can be daunting for some.

I'd hate to see how you open those cardboard FedEx envelopes with the clearly marked "Open Here" tab ;-)

the scrolling gesture is wrong.

Only one finger is required for scrolling, which is very easy, either scrolling up, down, left or right.

What a freakin' spazz! Next time you try to open something, look at it first, take a deep breath, and use some logic. Your fidgety movements and frustration just caused me to be anxious! And don't be all frustrated after you open it up, it ruins the experience of a new product. I'm a tech geek and still I can't believe you spent 8:30 making a video on a mouse.

I don't comment much on youtube because a lot of what is said here is grade school-caliber. That being said, I want you to know that you have to be one of the stupidest human beings on the planet when it comes down to opening things. If you would have simply read the instructions on the packaging, you would have had no problem. You should record yourself opening a music CD. But then again, no one buys those anymore.

I've spent about 10 minutes trying to use the mouse at an Apple store - couldn't get used to it. It's too narrow and too small, you have to hold it between your thumb and the ring finger, and still it didn't feel natural.

It kind of feels like Apple is losing its touch lately, what with all the super glossy screens and tiny mice... It seems like it's less concerned with how usable their products are and more - with how they look.

The case is a very responsible move on Apple's part to minimize the size of packaging and reduce waste and energy getting that mouse to you.
