I loved that man. one of the greatest things I have done for myself in my life is to forgive. because you cant love unconditionally until you decide to forgive unconditionally. Might this be one of Dan's favorites? After all, it is the book of Daniel. 12 "Please test your servants for ten days: Give us nothing but vegetables to eat and water to drink. 13 Then compare our appearance with that of the young men who eat the royal food, and treat your servants in accordance with what you see." 14 So he agreed to this and tested them for ten days.

In regard to healing disease I'm not sure that is addressed with fasting but the bible very clearly states what we should and should not eat and discusses unclean foods.

Here is one on healing.

12 Fruit trees of all kinds will grow on both banks of the river. Their leaves will not wither, nor will their fruit fail. Every month they will bear, because the water from the sanctuary flows to them. Their fruit will serve for food and their leaves for healing."

Ezekiel 47:12

Last night I was reading biblical verses in regard to fasting. It's interesting how when I went raw for a few days I suddenly felt more at peace with myself and the world, like I was on a higher spiritual level.

Going raw is much closer to fasting than the Western diet I usually adhere to. There seems to be something real about God's word saying that fasting brings you closer to Him.

I don't mean to put my beliefs on anyone reading this. If you don't believe in God, I respect your right.

I am a bible dummy so to speak but here is one of my favorites that I relate to fasting.

Isaiah 58:6-9

6 Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen...

8 Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the LORD will be your rear guard.

I don't think it is possible to separate the connection between spirituality and raw foods, though some people may be more interested in spirituality than others.
