I've loved JP since first seeing them in Britain in '75 but Rob is just a shell of his former self. He used to put on a helluva show as a killer vocalist with incredible range but now he's just crouched over all the time singing to the stage floor. Instead of doing "Nostradamus" as a concept album, they should've done "The Hunchback of Notre Dame"

As much as I love Rob Halford and have deep respect for him and as much as I think he's still great considering his age, I think he no longer have that edgeness and vocal virtuosity that he once had. But we also have to remember that Judas Priest wasn't simply about Rob Halford. As much as his vocal was their trademark, the guitar duo of K.K. Downing and Glen Tipton was another important and substantial part of Priest's music. They(especially Glen) are awesome guitarists.

Last time I checked, the name of the band is Judas Priest not Halford. Everyone praises Halford including himself but he is the only one that is showing his age due to his "poor poor me drugged up past". I saw Priest open for Rush a long time ago. A whisper went through the crowd that the singer was qu@@r just by his behaviors on stage. There was a moment of "Do we heckle the whole band?" and then It was like, "Ignore the singer, the others are damned good". We rocked with the band like the singer wasn't even there. It was weird. I felt sorry for them to be crippled like that.

So glad to see that Scott Travis plays the introduction exactly as Les Binks played in the studio version. Les was by far the greatest drummer Priest ever had. A pity that Priest chose to pursue a more 'basic' sound in the 80s.
