Great job! I only wish you had captioned it so all could know what they were looking at. I knew most of the views from books and pictures I've collected, but there were a few unfamiliar views.
I'm from auburn aswell. i think its retarded that their turning all the awesome houses into apartment buildings. we have PLENTY of apartment buildings.
This is a beautiful presentation. For those of you that know Auburn, NY, I am Jack Clifford's great grand son, namesake of the "Y Field". I've visited once in my adult life, and understand that I love that I have roots in Auburn , NY!!
the railway for the trolly followed route 5 the whole way to onodaga lake. whats very amazing is i know a few people that lived on route 5 and near the restaurant that has the watch tower on the top !! most of all the old houses on route 5 have the trolly rail as a beam holding up the house used in the basement with no middle posts none are needed lol its so cool im just suprised nobody ever did any documentation on that yet ..it must of been the rail they cut up and used to build houses.......
the trolly went from auburn to the town of geddes to onondaga lake to where the ny state fairgrounds was originaly on the lakeside i live in lakeland and the trolly is still around of only 2 my friends house is built around it !!!
Great video! I'm an Auburn historian via my genealogical research (I'm an Auburn native, born @ Mercy Hospital in 1965), and your presentation is quite remarkable!
Simply amazing!! Where can I find more photos of Auburn?? I live here and was born in 1982, so I wasn't blessed to see Auburn at it's Greatest and would love to learn more!!
i live literally 1 minute away from the y-field Auburns great no matter what anyone says, i was born here, auburn is great!
