Marty! Okay, so I'm officially addicted to your lessons. I started learning back in the 70s - but gave up. Bought myself a £350 guitar in the 90s, eventually learn how to barr a chord - but until this evening, I've never played a song from beginning to end. AND NOW I HAVE ON 3!!!! SONGS. Just too cool for words. Many thanks, and I will be watching far more!

Marty I just wanna post comment and say a big thanks, I started to play guitar about a year ago, and back then I didn't know how to hold a guitar. But thanks to you I learned chords, chord progression, strumming patterns, and I'm doing pretty fine now.... Not only you're a great guitar player but you're also an awesome teacher.... Dude I haven't played guitar in years and I never was that good to begin with. I just picked one up again and realized all my callouses are gone and I forgot any songs I once knew. Your videos are an awesome way to get back into playing, and all the chords are starting to appear under my fingers again as I learn these songs watching your videos. You are a much better teacher than I ever had in high school, or than any of my rockin' friends ever were for me. Thanks for putting these up!

Hi I have a question. I bought an acoustic guitar about 4 days ago (it's a Yamaha C45 to be specific) and it sounds kind of "buzzy" when I play. I have tuned it with a tuner so that's not the problem. I think the problem is that my fingers aren't pressing hard enough but you guys might explain it to me. I'm asking this because when I played guitar at school there were no problems at all. Thank you in advance and thank you Marty for all your work!

@timthinksmartysrules With martins Your'e pretty much paying for the name, you can go to a shop and pick out a $400 yamaha and it will sound almost exactly like a martin. but martins are worth more later on down the road

I have a Martin and a Taylor acoustic guitar. The Taylor plays better, but the Martin is much more durable and can take more abuse when I get heavy handed. Each guitar has it's place and the Martin was my first "good" guitar, plus WAY cheaper than the Taylor.

For me its kinda hard to aply the righ pressure to all the strings to make them ring out loud and clean.. For example, sometime the B or G strings sound muted..

It´s all a matter of practise i know, but it can be frustrating.

@AOTSismyhero depends on what snares u have. its also a challenge for some ppl to make pressure on the WHOLE bar, if u dnt have the pressure needed, then it will sound horrible.. plus u have to concentrate on the other fingers. A LOT of ppl struggle with tht chord. i did xD
