@nupersoob Very old video, shitty technique. Definitely jumping too much a jump is involved but not focused on as much as this. Not really dangerous tho, just not correct
Not bad for self taught. However your pull from the floor is awful. That is what is causing you to jump forward. The first pull is for positioning, in the beginning stages of learning to O-lift the first pull should be slow until it becomes second nature. Other than the your speed through the middle is good and you seem stable up top so its all good.
Your start you jump a bit to early......your weight is shifting to your toes too suddenly, along with starting your jump a bit early........when the bar leaves the floor your butt rises first..this is bad...it means instead of drivng up with your legs, like a deadlift...you basicly doing a back sldl..using all back ext.
Good job! You definitely have a lot of strength. But I would recommend you to pay a visit to oly lifting coach. There are quite few holes in snatch execution. Just by cleaning those you should be able to lift 25-30 lb more easily.
coaches are a pain in the ass tho but a visit once in a while is good, just need a little work on posture, but it looks very normal and phaps feels more corect, practice squat snatch as well :D any clean and jerk ?:P
Lookin good man. I envy your overhead squat. I can stand back and front squat, but i always feel like my lungs are being crushed when I do overhead. =O
is the jump necessary? it seems dangerous to me...

should just let the bar drop after a snatch/jerk - catching at the waist will soon rip your shoulder!

lol. Nice. Keep your back straight, besides that you're golden. ^_^ Do you have a video of regular snatches, as opposed to power snatches??
