@sandrodream1 Look, you can't just say who's the best chef in the world! It may be that you prefer arabs, italians and egyptians and whatever else, but you can't just go around saying: Oh this is nothing compared to pasta!
@sandrodream1 Pizza is traditional, and you're being rather ignorant here. Of course, everyone knows that the Italian culture has some of the best dishes in the world, but that doesn't mean everyone likes them. El Bulli's food are well known for their elegance and originality, and if you keep thinking inside the box that italian food is the best food in the world, then there's nothing I can say that can make you open your mind to other delicious foods, not necessarily italian ones.
@sandrodream1 I'm ok. You're ignorant though. Pizza can also be considered a fast food, but it's also a gourmet food. Not many have access to quality pizza. Of course there are thousand of italian dishes, just like in any other country! Risotto is rice with flavours. Antipasti are appetisers, primi piatti are the first courses, secondi piatti the second courses, contorni are the side-dishes, desserts are the desserts, also known as dolci, so yeah... you only mentioned one dish. btw, I'm a girl
@sandrodream1 Pizza is a gourmet food if done well, and I don't know about you, but I see most Italian Restaurants in Italy and all over the world sell pizza. I think it's quite a good example.
@sandrodream1 I'm Italian, and I think that Italy created some of the best foods ever. However, it may very well be true that El Bulli surpassed the pizza, actually, I think it is, since many reviews all written by different people say so. It is hard to judge food, as every chef has his own dishes, but I think that this food is some of the most amazing the world has ever tasted. I bet it's delicious. And elegant. Pizza is delicious too, something you can eat everyday, and in a different category
@sandrodream1 If you are asking for who voted for the yearly S pellegrino best restaurant of the year then you are not well informed enough. Classical and comfort food will always be popular and tasty and people will often return to it. You just need to get your head over the fact that there are people trying to push the boundaries of cooking and food as a wow experience rather than nutrition. You are like saying nice, designer dresses are not practical and prefer to wear socks all the tine.
@sandrodream1 I know that. Italian cuisine is fabulous. But this is a whole different thing. New technics. Innovation. Get a grip and stop criticazing things that u haven't even tasted. And by the way. Viva il carpaccio di tono. Cheers.
I dont understand spanish alot and I wish I did but my god this guy is amazing. Im a huge fan of Albert Adria but I just dont know what to say but wow
E s claro ser ignorante solo la personsa que sabe aprecia esto y aun sin saber simplemente imaginar el sabor en el paladar y degustar tal creacion es simplemente perfecto un magna obra de arte felicidades ferran!! keep going...
You have to be kidding If it doesn't look or smell like food it isn't. What desperate people do to disguise there lack of real cooking ability. An absolute disgrace to all things food. God help us if he gets near wine. A fad that will hopefully pass. Cannot be maintained financially or morally.
Oh shut up. I'm so bloody fed up with people accusing every last little abberation from the norm as a "fad" because they're just too unimaginative to understand why other people get it. And I recommend you go and work in their kitchen before you start talking about 'Real cooking ability'.
Believe me my friend I have no need to prove myself as a chef..it is done and has been done for quite sometime. This is only a personal opinion. It is cooking ability..given But not one that is a long term viably economical one. Besides look where it is?
You don't think this type of food has long term economic viability yet El Bulli has been consistently rated one of the top restaurants in the world, charges hundreds of euros per person and has an over 1 year waiting list. Seems pretty economically viable to me.
HAHA! Couldn't have said it better myself. I find his methods ingenious and I'm sure Adria could rival most chefs in the most basic fundamentals of cooking. He's just taking it to a new level. It is inspiring.
Oh dear I think Japanese food a huge difference given its history. America in general does not do much at all for cuisine or perhaps like Japanese food add mayo!
Oh dear, a presumed Australian Chef is either implying that American Cuisine isn't progressive and influential or he's lamenting his own failures putting too much blueberry chutney on Kangaroo backstrap and attempting to sell it as something more than vegimite on toast.
even i,m not studying a chef....but i love cooking and work as a cook..... i can tell you el bulli is the future........... the perfecto tht..... really"got" reprensents the god of totally english cuisine... this is all wht cooking ids all about........evrything in el bulli...... all the gods and heavens of foods is here.........

I recall not but 20 years ago American Chefs claiming that Japanese food in the US was simply a fad.
Fear of change and innovation spark comments like this.

No I don't. I hold three passports and have been to over 35 countries. Why don't you tell me what most people think of America?
Actually don't bother.
You're obviously just an old washed up racist who lost the passion a long time ago.
