  • Oooh I had this recorded as well on vhs! Fabulous...

Unfortunately threw away all my vhs tapes one day, thanks for uploading this! <3

  • oh how I really loove this song!

  • This song isnt based on the Falklands/Malvinas, Argentina is just used for image sake. It is because it is a country that has resonance in england, and has some good looking dark chicks, Gabriella Sabatina was kinda hot and looked a bit like Justine Frischmann who he dated.

  • where's the other members of the band?

  • I listened to this the first time I landed in the UK (and took a taxi to where I was supposed to go), and it's stuck with me ever since. Amazing song from an even more amazing band!

  • i love brett's looks back then.

  • Top top video! thanks so much for posting & bringing back so many memories....
  • beautiful!

  • The Malvinas are Argentine, but there are English flags flying there the earth is stained with blood Argentina

and out of all the useless controversy, I mean I love suede and songs thanks for the post this is one of my favorite songs

  • This song changed my life... :) This one and "Sadie". Awsome!

  • Great guitarist. Love his style.

  • Beautiful. Simple.

  • he moves likes morrisey

  • i love this song so much~~~

  • unique

  • ¡Increíblemente llegador! No entiendo por qué no lanzan otro disco juntos. The Tears era tremendo también.

  • All went wrong once Bernard left, with the exceptions of Trash and Electricity. Late Suede weren't worthy of the name, especially when that pretty boy prat on keyboards joined.

These two showed they still got the chemistry with The Tears, Appollo 13 especially was excellent.

  • @BelligerentGoal

    100% agreed.

  • My favorite Suede song. Great footage. Thanks.

  • This acoustic version is ... no words to describe it

    I just love it!

    Suede <3 :D

  • Woa! This is incredible and beautiful. Thank you!

  • Suede - get back together! I demand it. I need it!! I'm so lonely without you!!!

  • Suede were great when Bernard was in the band.

  • you can see how dedicated Bernard was. Such a beautiful song, such a wonderful performance by Brett and Bernard. btw....once i lisntened to a version by electric guitar from a Suede booleg. awesome, definitely.

  • I like this song really much. It is the best.

  • this is one of my favorite suede videos, too. thanks for posting.

  • Is not a Lullabies my friend... in the conflict The Malvinas Island's War (Falkland Islands) 2.000 Argentines soldiers die and how the Royal Navy use Indian's Ghurkas to kill young soldiers hand to hand... of course, in Suede words sounds more poetics!

  • i kinda know what you mean man, but clarify a little more, i've always had trouble understanding the meaning of the song

  • @raspalo :

Always two sides to every conflict.

To qoute Billy Joel: 'we didn't start the fire'.

  • @vikes65

How could you bring up Billy Joel in relation to this? I want to throwup

  • @vikes65

How bout not bringing up Billy Joel in the context of Suede...

  • @anyfoolknowthat How bout, glad to see you can post more about him than I did.

How bout that it's revived the Suede comments, How bout boll.... ;)

  • @vikes65

How bout not mentioning Billy Joel in any way in regards to a Suede video

  • @raspalo it's very intersting. I'm a huge Suede fan but didn't know about that. I really appreciate the comment...Suede were one of the best band in Britain!

  • @raspalo , m8 no one would have had to have died if argentina had not invaded, it really is that simple ... the argentine government lied to its people and continues to do so ... we, the british, have been involved in many dubious and unjust wars over the last few decades ... the Falklands war of 1982 was not one of these ... saying all that, i love the suede as much as you all :-)

  • @raspalo try again after my post didn't appear ... no one would have died if argentina hadn't invaded, that simple. the agentine government lied and continues to do so. let's hope one day we can all climb above such things.

  • I already had heard suede and liked them a lot. HOWEVER, I heard this song in a store and was blown away.

    thanks for the upload.

this is such a freaking jewel right here. so damn cool seeing both of them perform like this.

    great song and great performance

  • thanks for posting this.

Yep, music in the 90's was really good :)

  • THANK YOU for posting. A tremendous, beautiful song. XXX

  • cheers appreciate it, such a great video would hate to see it gone and lost forever

  • old days.....ooooooooooo

  • this is such a great version. better than the original, i think

  • I've been looking for this video since it was shown on MTV Europe back in '94(didn't have a vhs recorder). It's very rare, thank you, thank you ,THANK YOU for uploading!

One of early Suede's best moments on TV.

  • that comment was so touching, thanks, there's a better quality version of this vid uplaoded by anthemfortheworld

  • I came across the better quality video little after i discovered yours. Thanks again! Can't wait for the upcoming Anderson concert here in Greece in 10 days! Hope he's gonna preform this one!

  • The most fun I ever had chasing them about. Still touches me

  • i saw them only once and it was the best concrt id ever seen. his voice was just so crystalline and perfect.

  • they are amazing live

  • and I will riiiiiiiiiiise!! I will ri-i-i- seeeeeeee

  • Bernard always looks like he's having so much fun playing guitar, I love him for that :)

  • i may be prejudiced to the 90's britpop scene, but really, most of what gets popular these days in Britain and hyped in the God-awful NME severelyyy pales in comparison with a masterpiece like this. this gives me chills everywhere

  • fucking A video

  • was a massive suede b sides fan but was never that arsed about this particular tune. this version however captured me in a way the cd didn't. wierd. perhaps its just brett looking almost like elvis...

  • surely one of the highest moments in brit pop, incredibly amazing

  • Preciosa canción

  • thanks Suede 1992-1994

  • THIS IS SOOOO GOOD, LIKE GOOD OLD DAYS, i LOVE sUEDE

  • they don't make them like suede anymore :(

  • WOW. The song is amazing. For sure. Just amazing. Suede as a band put out the most amazing sounding (and arranged) songs of all time. Plus

Seeing this video, which I had never seen, just reminded me of how UNREAL they were. I mean, look at how they look, listen to how they sounds. F'n-A. I saw them here in Los Angeles 3 times but never with the Master Bernard. Thanks for the video. Awsome

  • I could spend years talking about what i feel when i listen to this video. But it´s nonsense. It´s just too good, it´s just overwhelmingly fucking good, it´s just the best, it´s obscene. To be as good as it is. Please feel, please do not think, just...

  • yes!

  • fantastic performance

  • Tip: you can always save the youtube clips via Keepvid.

I too was angry, as it got deleted, for the first time...

  • your welcome :)

  • thanks for re-uploading, it was in my favourites

    :)

  • your welcome

  • oh my god! thank you so much for uploading it again! I love this video so much!! this is one of the best things I've ever seen of Brett and Bernard.

This little smile, just in Bretts eyes, at 2:21 always makes me cry.

Without Bernie, Brett wasn't the same anymore. :(
