So she had to go and deliver the baby early b/c basically the doctor's are saying the baby had die...which was not the case after..the baby survive for some hours in the freezer but die later. So listen again I'm pretty srue she didn't want to do this...she had no choice but to listen to the dumb doctors.

This story isn't true. They say the baby was born in the fifth month of pregnancy, and weighing 610 grams. That's impossible. Babies of that 'age' only weigh about 220-270 grams. So this baby was closer to 27 weeks old (6,5 months). Of course it's still a miracle that she survived the cooler for hours. But strong babies at the term of 6 to 7 months are able to breath on their own, babies at 5 months aren't. Period. Btw: it wasn't an embryo, but a fetus.
@hammyysu I think you need to do more research. A lot of babies DO have problems. The ones that are fine and healthy are the ones that are rare. But thank God that can happen.
This is a miracle but this girl will now have a hard life ahead of her. I work w/ children like this in the schools. Any baby born that premature will almost always have profound problems. Given that she did not receive immediate attention will make these all the worse. I pray for her, I praise God for her; but she will have many problems.

It's not uncommon. It's not an act of 'god'. It shows the willpower of the child and it's strength. You can survive abortion. And you can come back from the dead. Some people actually have a medical condition which causes them to appear dead but they are actually still very alive. My grandmother had it. Though it's quite rare, it still happens.

Also, the doctors thought the baby was dead before it was born, that was why no "heroic" measures were taken to resuscitate the baby. Their concentration was on the mother's life.
Some of these comments seem to miss the fact that the mother wanted the baby. The baby was not thrown into the garbage. It was taken to the "cooler" until the father could come and take what he thought was the lifeless body. If it had been an unwanted baby, the father would not have come to take it. I'm sure it was a time for rejoicing for the parents.

But the child WASN'T dead!!!! How many times has this happened, A doctor tells a couple their pre-born child has died, and the alive baby is than ripped apart and thrown down the garbage disposal? A C-Section is quicker and safer then a prolonged induced labor abortion. I believe the proper steps were not taken to see if the child was really dead. That doctor should get his license revoked and the hospital should have an audit of internal procedure done, And an over site committee installed!

It's not uncommon. It's not an act of 'god'. It shows the willpower of the child and it's strength. You can survive abortion. And you can come back from the dead. Some people actually have a medical condition which causes them to appear dead but they are actually still very alive. My grandmother had it. Though it's quite rare, it still happens.

Also, the doctors thought the baby was dead before it was born, that was why no "heroic" measures were taken to resuscitate the baby. Their concentration was on the mother's life.

Some of these comments seem to miss the fact that the mother wanted the baby. The baby was not thrown into the garbage. It was taken to the "cooler" until the father could come and take what he thought was the lifeless body. If it had been an unwanted baby, the father would not have come to take it. I'm sure it was a time for rejoicing for the parents.

People seriously need to listen to the entire story and listen again if need be...this poor mother to be was told that she, herself, was dying. She did what was needed to be done in this tragic situation. It is a blessing that the child was found alive and no ill wishes should be cast upon the family. The doctors should be questioned about doing all they could but in the end I think this is simply just a miracle!

But the child WASN'T dead!!!! How many times has this happened, A doctor tells a couple their pre-born child has died, and the alive baby is than ripped apart and thrown down the garbage disposal? A C-Section is quicker and safer then a prolonged induced labor abortion. I believe the proper steps were not taken to see if the child was really dead. That doctor should get his license revoked and the hospital should have an audit of internal procedure done, And an over site committee installed!

The doctors screwed up. They thought that the baby had died.
I hope it lived after they discovered their mistake.
If it were really dead, like they thought it was, what else is there to do? Let it rot in the womb, while the mother bleeds internally?
Also, I think you meant to write "fallible". Infallible means not capable of making a mistake..

the baby didn't just die in utero (and it's not an EMBRYO, someone doesn't know their facts) the mother ABORTED it. she didnt deliver it prematurely, didn't want the baby saved or resuscitated, didn't care if it was born dead or alive, she aborted it. the fact that the baby lived proves that she chose to abort at a viable age. so, she literally chose to throw this child in the garbage rather than resuscitate and save its life.

@catiecop since the baby lived, it was obviousely a viable age and could have been resuscitated. that was the point i was making. because she decided to abort rather than try to rescuscitate, the baby was essentially discarded. yes i heard she was bleeding, yes I know the baby had to be delivered. it's the fact that she decided to abort (kill) a viable fetus that's so very disturbing.

@sweetbabynrs She didn't go in to have an abortion. She was having internal bleeding, the dr. said the fetus showed no sign of life so they delivered the baby & placed it in the "cooler". Listen to it again. I'm quite sure the woman wanted to have her baby & this served as a miracle to her. There was no intent to end the pregnancy ~ according to what she was told, the pregnancy was already over, as the fetus showed no sign of life. You don't keep a dead fetus in your body, so they delievered it.

I was under the impression that an induced abortion was done to save the mother;s life and the baby was at a viable age but was not resuscitated.

I'm sorry, but if I am suffering from internal bleeding due to carrying a child, or for anyone really, who if they continue to carry a child their health will be at great risk and or will possibly die, t is in no way WRONG for them to terminate their pregnancy. There really is a fine line and double standard when it comes to abortion. I would love nearly every one of you to seriously think about it. Like you said just because the mom dosent want her child she should be legally allowed to kill it, yet after she gives birth its murder, that seems ludacris and should seriously be considered as a change of law.I was 15 when I got pregnant with my son, and abortion was my first option.I had the date set and a ride &all I needed to do was go for an ultrasound to confirm dates. & as soon as I saw my son on that screen I could never imagine doing it.

I have aclose friend who had some serious problems with her first pregnancy which involved some internal bleeding and the doctor said either she would die or her twins would die. She chose to save her twins and lost one with all the bleeding. Miraculously she and her other daughter lived. But it is too dangerous for her to get pregnant again and if she does she has said she will get an abortion
