  • One time at band camp I stuck a flute up my pussy....

  • more woodblock

  • One time at band camp...

  • nossa meu ngocio muito bom!

  • good tribute! loved the blue hair! how long did that take to wash out?? XD

  • Untuuuuuuuned!

Other than that, great cover with just one tiny mistake.

  • you are 3 geniuse

  • pipes were alittle large but overall pretty good

  • greate blu man cover

  • well the blue man group placed a softer peace of plastic inside the pvc with popnails.

thats wat eliminates the clacking noise. try to find something that is soft enough to produce sound bud hard enough to get rid of the clacking.

  • @kiddy1992

Ahhhh that would explain why the inside of the tube looks the way it does in their videos. We could never figure that out haha

  • @kiddy1992

Actualy the sticks they used had some kind of soft material on em that reduced it pipes are normal

  • @cuteulala1 Nope, normal drumsticks. A section of the pipe is cut away and they rivet a sheet of 1/4" thick gum rubber in it's place to act as the "reed"

  • I looked it up and it said they used foam drumsticks

  • you guys should try out, this is sick

  • lol

  • i built one but i know i built the reed wrong cuz it wont make any sound, does any1 know how to make it properly? i just cant get the sound to amplify

  • @ptchr4evr9

The "reed"? What do you mean? As for our amplification, we cut a small hole (about the diameter of a pencil) and inserted the input of a microphone (one of those small mics with the battery pack) to enhance the volume. There were some slight difficulties (i.e. the cord being to short, the mics being relatively low quality, etc), as you can see in the video, but it was sufficient for what we needed.

  • ohh, ok, ill try that, thanks, and the reed is just what the site with the building instructions called the striking piece on the bigger piece of the two, but what you did sounded good, thanks a lot man

  • You need to be in a space wich has acoustics. NOT in the open air. maybe that helps...

    Richie :)

  • haha, yea i figured lol, thanks for the help guys

  • @ptchr4evr9

no prob, one more word of advice: our "reed" was just straight pvc pipe, and it made a very hard clacking sound when we drummed on it with the sticks. wrap it with something relatively soft (we used this kind of sticky material that you put on desks and glass and stuff so you can lay stuff on it wo having it slip) so you only heard the intstrument and not the clacking

  • thats exactly what my problem is, the clacking sound, do you know what that sticky stuff is exactly because i'd definitely get some of that

  • @ptchr4evr9

Idk exactly what its called, but it's like a mat of sorts and you put it on tables so you can set stuff on top of it wo it sliding. I suppose if it came down to it, maybe you could wrap like a mouse pad for a computer around it? You just need some type of barrier (rubber is usually best).

  • thats weird because thats exactly what i did, i duct taped a mouse pad to it and i still got the clacking sound...maybe it's the type of drumsticks im using...are you using regular drumset sticks?

  • yeah, we used normal drumsticks. it's nearly impossible to entirely eliminate the clacking sound, but we were able to reduce the sound enough that the sound through our amp could drown it out.

  • sweet, thanks a lot for your help, ill see how it goes once im able to amplify it.

  • epic! howd you make the costumes? theyre so good!

  • @mindfreak990

just black pants n long sleeve shirts, and we used blue swimming caps and painted over it all with blue latex paint

  • cool. thanks.

  • Cool !

  • Shit ... I lost my time here

  • thats not the real blue men

  • NAW!!!! WOULD"VE NEVER GUESSED!!!

  • i actually like the wierd treble the second "bone" has vs the blue man groups one, much cooler sound

  • the other one is to long thats y i has that sound..

  • Critics. Hahaha. Jeez, Paul, almost 25000 views?

  • awesome

  • ITA NOT EVEN THE BLUE MEN BAND

  • you're right.

  • Portuguese: Ridiculo

  • you didn't calculate the length of the pipes right.

they're out of tune from the band.

  • Yea and i think there was a huge harmonic sound at abou 2'' when they

  • it's paint

  • those thing that their holding is pipes right?

  • make some spikes in then your sound wil much higher

  • like smirfs, compared to the real thing,

    nice job =]

  • Jesus, Paul, over 7600 views? Not bad, young grasshopper...

  • this was great, guitar solo at the end was pretty epic too

  • The guitar went on for a bit and there wasnt enough pipes. what was the toilet roll about?

  • It was kind of an inside joke. When we went and saw them live, they had hundreds (possible thousands) of rolls of toilet paper and through them into the crowd, so we improvised because we can't afford that much toilet paper.

  • oh, i never knew that. how did you do the blue on your skinn?

  • blue latex paint. we got ours online from a costume shop for about $30

  • good times im gna miss band camp guys. btw our t-shirt tape was awesome

  • that was the most epic thing i have ever seen someone do :P

  • toilet paper 0_o'''.....

  • watch the real blue men,

they let down HUGE white streamers that look like toilet paper.

    it's pretty good for improv.

  • My bad that the tempo was slow but also was tryin not to rush it so that the whole skit was only 2 mins. wanted it to be decently long but at football games we have added stuff and speed up the tempo.

  • hey where did u get those drum sticks? r they the same ones that the actual blue man group used?

  • actually, they were just regular drumsticks that we spray-painted. they look really bright because we had a black light shining towards where we were playing (its that long black thing on the table in front of where we are playing at 0:29)

  • do you think thats what they did too?

  • well if you watch the video of them in berlin (in related videos) the blue paint really jumps out, likely because they have a black light somewhere (or just generally creative lighting). so, it is definitely one way they could have done it, but i when i saw them in person, they were selling novelty light-up drumsticks, so it's also possible that the drumsticks were made to light up themselves instead. painting is cheaper and just as effective i think though.

  • Was it just orange spray paint on normal drumsticks?

It is a very good job and I love the rendition!

  • yeah, some orangish-pinkish paint we got from a craft store. it had some obscure, oddly-specific name like most paint colors do, but for our purposes it was orange, bright, and glowed in the dark.

  • i was wondering the same thing

  • wow that was awesome our drumline tried to do something like that. we called it maroon man group and it sucked but you pulled off well.

  • whats with the tempo slow?

  • never really noticed that. stage fright i guess, but when we do it again we'll pick up the tempo.

  • i love it gregs solo was amazing

  • amazing. =]

  • Oh heck yeah. Best LHS band camp skit ever.
