oops i meant bearings and not barring(lol).I have fitted the brackets last light(Six of them). Now it can take my powerful blows.(Still giving that flexablity with the base on bearings), so I do not get athritis of the joints.Keep on training and keep on talking.
Ahha, you gave me an idea how to stabalize my wooden dummy. At the moment it is on barring. Now I will put metal brackets down the buttom to stop it rotating which I find irratating.I am a Karateka using the wooden dummy for Karate training.
@SKIFTIGER the hole in my base is customized so that my oval dummy fits right in and it doesn't spin. But yeah, if you used bracket that should work perfectly for you
That is a nice looking finished product! The pads, are a nice add. I built my dummy years ago out of a log of aspen. It was tough to make arm plunge drill all the way thru a log and stay straight. 1trae9 your dummy still came out looking good and it looks functional. Congrats on that training tool.
@8cspohn Thanks, I'm so glad that i finished it. It does function pretty good. Overall, I'm very satisfied with how it all turned out. Especially since I built it myself. Thanks again!!
Don't tell your wife you love the dummy more than her (lol). Now you have to build a Karate Makiwara. If you ever need a plan.Email me.
