As for the jet I'm let down by it. It's not even worthy of being called an F-22 copy. They mimicked the shape, that's about as far as they got. It's underdeveloped and over-hyped.

@slayer2961 China almost refuse all arms purchases from russia. they developed their own 5th gen a/c as you may know. India just recently refused Mig super jet in favor of eurofighter or french rafale ($110 billion contract).
I've read from some resources recently that they r turning their attention now to f35 rather than sticking with su-50. they got bad taste of russia after that huge delays of their aircrft carrier by russians. so not so well going there, no funds for su-50 as of yet
@TheBarrackuda I think thell get a problem with the eurofighter simply because not that much nations use it, making parts more rare. It depends on what they want tough, if they want to experiment with more western planes, then id say rafale, But if they would like more compatable planes to thier own, giving greater space for replacement and knowingness then the migs would be the best option. in my opinion.

@TheBarrackuda well China uses a different tactic it offers very very cheap skilled working force, and trows its economic borders wide open for companies, it decreases its land prizes threwout the country, and thats how companies tend to go there. It also partly ignores international standards of workspace in order to keep paying low taxes and blocks a lot of the internet so that the people cant speak out loud.

@Galova i've heard that Russia stopped the Mig-1.44 project and sold one of the prototype to China which they are building the J-20 based on it. Also i guess the new 4++ Egyptian fighter is based on the Mig-1.44

Design is not everything - most of the technology and "hidden" design features are classified of the F-22.
We also mustn't forget, that the Raptor is already in service for a couple of years - but the Mig has still to be deployed. This will take years - which will make the F-22 even better [with the usual upgrades, enhancements and improvements]. The only big point for the Mig is the price. The F-22 was so expensive, that the production was killed, before the original numbers were produced.

@ForgeMyLife Thrust vectoring from Russian and American fighters are completely different. I guess, that the one of the F-22 is much less sensitive than the 3D vectoring of the Su-35 / Su-37 [and then the Pak-Fa]. And you don't know the classified technology of the Raptor, which might make it as good as the Russian models.
The difference is clear - America basically wants to show strength, but keeps a lot of classified information - the Russians throw everything out, to find financial funding.
Russia's first 5th generation fighter. they should only have the right to a certain percentage since the design is nearly exactly the same as the F-22

@val28l Note that US provided Soviets with C-47s on lend lease, they produced the LI-2 and then said it was a Soviet design. The major variation between the f-22 and the SU-50 are those big honkin exhausts on the back of the SU-50. As far as the US not being the center of the world, ask a New Yorker. Other than that we are very proud of US contributions to aerospace. 787's are looking good while Aussies say all A-380s should be grounded. Regardless airbus is going to take a bath on that plane.
@val28l LI-2 was a soviet copy of the C-47/DC-3 which the Soviets said they invented first. The rest of my point is the difference that distributed thrust (F-22) versus conventional exhausts (SU-50) has on stealth properties and thus the effectiveness of the aircraft. The bit about American contributions to aerospace should be self explanatory.

@slayer2961 China almost refuse all arms purchases from russia. they developed their own 5th gen a/c as you may know. India just recently refused Mig super jet in favor of eurofighter or french rafale ($110 billion contract).
I've read from some resources recently that they r turning their attention now to f35 rather than sticking with su-50. they got bad taste of russia after that huge delays of their aircrft carrier by russians. so not so well going there, no funds for su-50 as of yet

Design is not everything - most of the technology and "hidden" design features are classified of the F-22.
We also mustn't forget, that the Raptor is already in service for a couple of years - but the Mig has still to be deployed. This will take years - which will make the F-22 even better [with the usual upgrades, enhancements and improvements]. The only big point for the Mig is the price. The F-22 was so expensive, that the production was killed, before the original numbers were produced.

@ForgeMyLife Thrust vectoring from Russian and American fighters are completely different. I guess, that the one of the F-22 is much less sensitive than the 3D vectoring of the Su-35 / Su-37 [and then the Pak-Fa]. And you don't know the classified technology of the Raptor, which might make it as good as the Russian models.
The difference is clear - America basically wants to show strength, but keeps a lot of classified information - the Russians throw everything out, to find financial funding.

i`m suprised no one seems to find it interesting, that all the major powers for the last 50 years all come out with about the same thing, does anyone think that maybe thats more then a coincidence. oops of course not, people are to busy argueing about whos better, instead of seeing whats hidden in plain site. there is a one world goverment that knows as long as they keep the people fighting each other ,they can`t unite against it.

@val28l Note that US provided Soviets with C-47s on lend lease, they produced the LI-2 and then said it was a Soviet design. The major variation between the f-22 and the SU-50 are those big honkin exhausts on the back of the SU-50. As far as the US not being the center of the world, ask a New Yorker. Other than that we are very proud of US contributions to aerospace. 787's are looking good while Aussies say all A-380s should be grounded. Regardless airbus is going to take a bath on that plane.

@val28l LI-2 was a soviet copy of the C-47/DC-3 which the Soviets said they invented first. The rest of my point is the difference that distributed thrust (F-22) versus conventional exhausts (SU-50) has on stealth properties and thus the effectiveness of the aircraft. The bit about American contributions to aerospace should be self explanatory.
