Someone asked where Allison is today. I met her on a flight from Chicago a few months ago, she was a seatmate. She owns a bed and breakfast in Ohio now. Very lovely, friendly lady.

In interviews later that week, Allison Brown said she had accidentally seen the card with the names on it (you can see the host waving it around right in front of their faces). Allison saw "Texas" at the bottom, so she assumed she was first runner up.

What she didn't see was "Oklahoma" further down on the card, so she was TRULY surprised when she won.

Back then, it was always great to see three queens (Miss Teen USA, Miss USA, and Miss Universe) crown the baby sister of the Triple Crown!

I absoloutely agree. I hate the fact that Scott Grossman,(pageant choreographer) assists in the crowning now. That makes no sense to me @ all. I feel the current Triple Crown of Beauty titleholders should assist in crowning the new queen.

All Scott Grossman does at the crownings is hand flowers to the runners up and hand the outgoing Miss the hairpins to fix the crown!

And here lately the past few years he's actually taken over and did the crowning which I think is very rude. The outgoing winner has walked off aftfer the crowning and he's still standing there fixing the crown and straightening it like he was the outgoing queen; maybe it's his inner queen wanting to come out...
