Finally someone puts on a video of what it's really all about . I work in the biz as well and Big thanks to Kevin for showing alot of people out there it isn't like all the 'old days' stories they've heard about drugs, partying all night long, women all over the place.
When I saw RUSH during the S&A tour in Moline IL. the F.O.H. sound was amazing!! Probably the best I have ever heard them, and I have seen them over 20 times. Their live show is always incredible, but this one was the best as far as sound goes. Kudos to the entire crew, without you the show does not go on.
If you have never seen RUSH, WTH is wrong with you?? Even is you don't like the music you will walk away amazed. It's not a show it's an experience. I hope to catch another show soon!!
Not too much band give their thanks to Roadies. They do the most of the job, everything is set up for the band always for them to show up and to the gig.
Whatever happened to simpler times when a band just hung a few lights, plugged in some amps and adjusted them, then plugged in their instruments and tuned them, practiced a bit, and then started jamming ? This has become all too complex for what you get in the end, which is just 3 guys playing rock n roll with a guitar, bass, drums, and a little keys. Don't seem like it should be this complex.
@TitaniumByFire When you play big arena's like rush you need all that, all of it is essential and they have the best shows.
"We are a big band and we play big area's but we need to keep it small or make the illusion that the stage is huge so the guy in the very back feels apart of the show. To be able to grab the guy in the very last row and make him feel like he's up close and experiencing a concert is my soul job and will always be."
@TitaniumByFire Venue of that size needs alot of speakers. Alot of speakers need alot of amplifiers. Alot of amplifiers need alot of equalizers, crossovers, modules. Alot of all that needs alot of cables. And everything needs to be controlled, rigged, and generally: plugged in.
Since that overrated band U2 has canceled their tour because their singer Jesus Christ hurt his back, they should lend their 360 Tour stage production to Rush.
the reason they act the way they do is directly attributed to drinking hot coffee from a plastic cup, 06:00, added to this chemistry cocktail is the complexity of the donut catalyst, 06:22.
I imagine the motors are a bit more powerful, but I work with 4, 1 ton chainmasters for lifting light poles and such. They are great, and are fun to go up on.
persoanlly i`m kinda boring at this point, not so much stright edge considering I love coffe. But ja`there was time when I was youthful & without discretion to what I once was.
Looks a lot of guys looking at this have been involved in this aspect of the business. Does anyone have an idea what it costs to put on this kind of production every night?
I'm sure these guys (crew) don't work for peanuts, why would they? The responsibilities of keeping things on schedule, moving, engineering, etc. look to be rather daunting.
Thanks so much for the video! After 4 tours with RUSH & every other damn band ( too many too list!) I can finally show people what I do for a living. No one ever knows what we do in the shadows & trying to explain I always get "Yea' your full of shit!!" And now the chance to prove then wrong. Beautiful!
@GRIMMWOLFF1 I've seen what you do in the shadows during the show, and I gotta say, it makes me miss the nights when I could smoke that stuff in my younger years.....
ahahahahha this is a video that everybody would see that is very nice man no matter how much money you spent you're very rich thank you so much god bless you
Seen a lot of that stuff up close. Got a tour of the stage and backstage in 2007, the show they did in Illinois. The First Midwest Bank Amphitheater. Met the guitar techs and saw the tour bus they showed. It was really cool. Seeing that stuff in person just really shows you how much work goes into a show like the ones RUSH put on. Rush forever! =)
They often get things wrong when they do such things about Rush. Rush has been going for 4 decades (5 if you want to be absolutely correct) but 4 decades of recording, not 3, mr. dumbass announcer/writers. Also, lose the background music or make it RUSH!
Uh, I'll pass on chilling out and instead thrash you quite easily. He said decades, not years. It's 4 decades, not 3. faced!
And I can be pissed if I want....so piss off Cooper. And your question is illogical. It didn't piss me off enough to stop watching. That'd be ridiculous, much like your reply.
RUSH allways did & allways will give what the fans what they want. A great show. And im proud to say ive saw Rush in concert 24 times. And hopefully will get to see them another 24 times ! Rush Rules !!!!!
anyone know the name of the song that starts at 0:06? Big rush fan but I think I've never heard that one!

If you go from their first album it's just over 30 years.
The guy doing the narrating probably read a script, and really about the music?
If it pisses you off so much, then why did you even bother watching.
