He would have cleaned up. My buddy had a Buick special w/the Fireball 6 a distant relative of the 3.8. It shook like a plug wire had been pulled. GM would sell the engine to Jeep, buy it back, refine it, it grabs the pole at indy, put it into the rather pedestrian Regal, turbo-charged, most painted black and creates a force to be reackoned with. Amazing. Oh, Great Video!

What kind of trannys did the Grand National's / GNX 's have?

@need2speed94 They all were equiped from the factory with a automatic 200-4R. The transmission in John's GN at the time of this video was a custom 4L80E.
