Thank you for doing this video!! Like you I'm very pale, but I have never tried a BB cream before. I thought this would be a good way to try one and almost bought it the other day, but then I thought I would watch some reviews first. I don't think I will be trying this product.
i just got this a few days ago , my skin does appear to be a bit better in texture and color, i agree on you about the color, it is a bit too dark , might be ok in the summer time if i get a bit more sun , but how they thought they could have a light-med color is a bit strange considering its easier to make a product darker with blushes/ tanner ..ect maybe in a few months they will come out in a lighter color.. who knows
I also tried the BB cream and I have to say I like it, but I don't love it, compared to the Liole Triple the Solution BB Cream. The Garnier version is too sheer for me. And so the coverage is not what I like. I will have to layer it till it's the consistency I like. Which is quite troublesome.
Loved ther eview >.< Since I can't buy on the internet, I was so pleased to hear that garnier had a BB cream here in Spain U.U after this.....think I'll save my money :( Love your eyes by the way n.n
I have the same problem! I'm from norway and it just came out here. And I picked it up simply cause shipping and such is so expencive here, so buying from another country can double the price for me. And I absolutely hate it. I feel like a silly orange essex girl. I'm just as pale as you, and I really wanted a good BB cream, and thought this is my chance. Guess I was horribly wrong...
I swear they make foundation/BB cream (and so on) for the people in US, because the people in US on average are a darker skin tone (tan). Ivory was too dark for me in Rimmel products, and practically every other brand in Boots including Lorel! D: It makes me so mad because there's a brand from some company called "true match" where they bring out a range of colours, but only ONE colour for the 'Ivory' side of lighter shades. -.-
Sorry but this is not like an Asian BB cream at all, its too thick. The consistency is a thick tinted moisturisers and the light is still too dark for me. This is basically TINTED MOISTURIZER and nothing else.
@Jeenhae BB cream is originally from Germany and people used it after cosmetic surgeries to hide the scars. But it became big in Korea and Japan mostly.
I'm used to BB cream from Etude House so when I saw the Garnier BB cream my first reaction was: great! Then I might be able to get it easier in the future. But then a couple of seconds the next thought came to me: I wonder if they got it right...
After seeing a couple of reviews I've decided that I'll stick with Etude House for life. BB cream is amazing, but it has to be done right! Sorry Garnier, yours was a fail, I'll wait for the next version that, hopefully, will be better.
I love this product. I have dry skin and red cheeks and dark circles under my eyes. I never wear foundation because it just doesn't work for me. It looks fake and feels horrible.
But this product makes my skin look even toned and it makes me GLOW! Nothing ever made me glow. I love this.
I get the color thing. I am lucky that every Garnier product in the color light is perfect for me. The BB cream, the eye roller for dark circles and the tinted roller for blemishes. All exactly my color.
Your skin is sensitive. I'm sorry to be the one to tell you but trust me, I have oily skin and dry skin areas at the same time, and a lot or products make me break out, a LOT, like concealers and powders, even the good ones like sephora. Also I find that quite a few make up removers and even moisturizers make my skin slightly burn, they basically don't feel comfortable at all, that means I have sensitive skin, which is prone to rosacea and acne so it needs extra extra care! I'm subscribing btw:)
I bought this product as soon as it came out in Australia as I am a fan of BB Cream. To be honest I am both disapointed and pretty angry at the fact that I wasted money on such knock off CRAP.
Compared to my Missha the GARNIER is just fake words on a package for a quick sell. (-_-!)
I can almost see the marketing people having a laugh like-
'Inspired by BB Cream haha, let's just fake it by using the hot name in order to make fast money off people..... those idiot's don't know the difference!'
@IavoidReality It's awful but seriously everytime I'm shopping and I see someone that's standing there looking at it I wish I had a roll of 'don't buy this!!' stickers.
I would walk up, take the cream from their hands, place a big old sticker on the front, hand it back, smile and walk away!
I personally don't think Garnier really produced much of a BB cream... Their BB cream doesn't even BEGIN to compare to the ones you get from Asia. I mean, I've had friends literally fly to Korea pretty much just for the BB cream. If you want the real deal, then you need to get it from Korea. I would personally recommend MISSHA's BB cream. Etude House, Hanskin, Skin79 (who offers SPF50) and BRTC are pretty popular too, but MISSHA works really well for me, without being too pricey.
I am a guy, i know nothing about make up, it doesn't interest me. But i have watched 3 of your videos all the way through. Your videos are amazing. I'm an American and your accent is very pleasant. Keep up the good work.
You are so right! I got the lightest shade too and it is just not right for my skin tone. It's so brown! I have to thin it down with moisturiser and that seems a bit daft! I saw people rave about it, but forgot they weren't as pale as e and had combination skin. Wish I'd waited for this review before buying it!
The Skin79 is the BB Cream I use from Korea. I think the Garnier isn't for me either. If I hadn't tried Skin79 first I might think Garnier was ok but the pale is too dark for me and it feels too thick and like a really heavy tinted moisturiser but I reviewed it the first day it was in Superdrug if you want to watch my video.
@aussiegirlblogs Where do you get the Skin79 BB cream? The Garnier one is too dark for my skin tone and makes me break out. I've seen great reviews for the Skin79, but anywhere I've tried so far won't ship to Ireland. Any ideas where I could try? :)
@XtwilightdreamerX I bought mine from an Ebayer in South Korea. It cost about £15.00 including postage. Be careful about ordering Skin79 on Ebay there are many cheap fakes out there. Contact Skin79 in the US and ask where to buy it in the UK I'm sure they have a UK distributor. Yes the Garnier is too dark for me too. I've managed to lighten it a bit by mixing it with a white moisturiser but I keep reaching for my Skin79 its my preferred BB Cream. I haven't tried the Mischa one you can get in UK.
I like my m bb cream better as well... And congrats on new subbies! You said you weren't sure why you got more subscribers.. Well... Cause you rock! :)
Totally agree with you, I bought the Garnier bb cream, but is far too dark for me as I'm pale too. Will be getting the one off eBay! The Garnier one was at least worth the superdrug points :)
Definitely agree with you here, i bought it a few weeks ago and used it and it's so dark on my skin. I got the light shade because im very pale and it makes me look orange.... it also made me break out. After that i thought i would leave it and then give it a go after a couple of weeks but it still did the same thing and it doesn't really even cover your spots so then you still have to apply more makeup on top of it :|
I've been funny about buying the Garnier BB cream for this reason. We like tanning so they'll more likely put tanning properties in it, whereas in Korea and Japan etc they like to stay pale and really dislike tanning, which is my assumption as to why they have skin lightening properties.
@hellogoodbyemylove1 BB stands for Blemish Balm. It's just a tinted cream that looks like foundation but this BB cream is supposed to be good for your skin and help it get better in a way.
I remember seeing the Garnier BB cream in superdrug, when I tested it on my hand I couldn't get over how dark it was (I am pale like you), I'm not sure if I am a huge fan of the missha BB cream yet but I prefer it to the Garnier
I really want to get this, but I'm not sure, do you think it would work for like normal/slightly oily teenage skin? Cause I dont want to waste my money is it doesnt work. xx <3
I have combination skin and it really works for me, the other one might not be so great as it lightens your skin and this can cause problems with combination skin - i have a review of it on my channel if you want to get my views, im really pale and the light works for me as it blends out so well - different people have different views of it, so its kinda the case that you have to take the risk or not, im glad i did though xx
