  • What would an effect such as this do when used on a channel with lots of gain? I've always wondered, but never had the chance to try it out.

  • Thank You FishmanAcoustic ~ ~ ~ I love my Aura System ~ And its great for pluging into my laptop,,,sweet,,,I have posted a couple demos using my Martin HD28 and the Aura.....Thanks Again

  • Hi! Could these pedals help to get a better tone on some lower budget guitars?

I play a Washburn D10, and I'm trying to get a better sound when playing live, so I was considering getting an Aura Spectrum... Are there any videos or reviews with that kind of guitars?

    Cheers

  • @markojagodic88 Using the Spectrum with a an acoustic guitar equipped with an undersaddle pickup will give great results. We've heard excellent sound come from guitars priced under $1000.00 Best of luck!

  • Most demo's appear to be recorded with a saddle pick up – but what’s the sound quality like with an Fishman ( sound hole) Humbucker or Fishman ( sound hole) Blend ? Regards, Kevin

  • @KSR110162 Good question. It is possible to get good results from soundhole/magnetic pickups. However, Aura works best with undersaddle pickups such as the Fishman Matrix Infinity. Thanks for the post.

  • Does this unit sound good with a piezo pickup in an electric guitar?

  • @zigzaghookie The Aura Spectrum DI and Aura Sixteen sound best with undersaddle pickups or soundhole pickups on acoustic guitars. Some players have tried Aura products with a piezo pickup on an electric guitar. Many report positive results. Perhaps you could demo the particular guitar at a retailer that sells Fishman products. Best of luck.

  • I just bought a Gibson song writer deluxe standard. and it comes with the fishman aura elipse. So I guess it's basically the same concert as this pedal, but i only have 4 images instead of 16? or would this still be a good buy? I also just ordered the Fishman SA220 P.a system

  • @EddieRachel The 4 images in the Elipse Aura installed in your Gibson are images of that particular guitar. Gibson and Fishman have agreed that those 4 images best replicate the sound of your instrument. Factory installed systems are "locked" and not downloadable like Aura 16 or Aura Spectrum DI. The manufacturer(Gibson in this case) would prefer that the images not change in this model with the Elipse Aura. However, you have 4 different and unique sounds to choose from!

  • @FishmanAcoustic Also, the Gibson will sound wonderful through the SA220!

  • I own a YAMAHA APX 500, but I'm afraid that this unit could do nothing for it, since I haven't seen any similar guitar image. Would you reccomend me it? The specs are the following ones: Top Spruce Back & Sides Nato Neck Nato Fingerboard Rosewood Bridge Rosewood Body Style Thinline with Cutaway String Scale 25" Body Depth 3 1/8" - 3 9/16"
  • @Benhind We currently have not imaged a Yamaha APX 500. If you can demo this pedal at a dealer, try the Orchestra and Concert images. Stayed tuned for some more recommendations as we will get back to you shortly on your question. Thanks

  • @FishmanAcoustic thanks a lot for the feedback. Unfortunately it's impossible to me to try the unit. There's no distribution of aura pedals where I live. Anyway, I have ordered an Aura Sixteen. As soon as it arrives, I'll write my impressions about it.

  • @Benhind again, try Orchestra and Concert images. With over 700 images in the Aura Image Gallery software, there is sure to be one that works for you. Start with a 50% blend and work from there. Best of luck.

  • May i know the price of this gadget?

  • @imotuba Hi, Aura Spectrum DI's street price is $329.99 and Aura 16 is 199.99. Try one out and check out the videos for Aura Spectrum DI and Aura 16.

  • Will this pedal work good if I have a piezo pickup in an electric guitar?

  • do these pedals work good if you have a piezo pickup in an electric guitar?

  • i have one like this and it worked both with my dreadnought and OOO guitar models... i loved it.. its so simple and easy to operate.. thank you very much fishman..

  • @attybong You're welcome! Great post.

  • hey will this work even if i play my acoustic electric guitar through this pedal then a fender Hot rod deluxe? i dont want to spend all the money for an acoustic amp.

  • No, in simple terms the hot rod's speaker is in no way designed to capture the true sound of an acoustic guitar. Get an AER amp and you probably wouldn't even need this pedal, OR use this pedal directly into the mixer and you'll get the sound presented here, assuming you have a decent fishman pickup to begin with.

  • Sounds nice!

  • If I get mine "concert" for my steel strings, Can you tell if it would work for my nylon strings as well?

    tks

    Welter

  • Yes, we have a pedal specifically for nylon guitars. Check with your local music store or dealer.

  • @FishmanAcoustic

I was recommended to consider one of these for my Freshman grand auditorium FA500 GAD acoustic with Schertler bluestick pickup. The guitar is top of the range and has excellent tonewoods and a perfectly balanced sound but I would like to be able to adapt it to get an authentic dreadnought or jumbo sound at times. Is this possible with one of the imaging pedals and if so which one?

  • @syncopater999

Aura was designed to make your Grand Auditorium sound like a Grand Auditorium with a microphone added to the sound/signal chain. Aura was not designed to "model" other bodies/instruments. Basically, Aura will not make your 12 String sound like a concert guitar or make you dreadnought sound like a banjo! Aura enhances your undersaddle pickup sound and brings in the 3 dimensional qualities of a microphone. Go to Fishman.com to check out Aura Pedals. Thanks for the comment!
