  • i wish i had a poofy tail

  • honestly, from all the videos i've seen of thse cute little guys, they dont mind being a pet! lol i'm looking to get one myself :) why does everyone have to say omg they should be charged for having this anumal as a pet blah blah blah ugh wow i cant spell today

  • cute little baby...

  • Thats adorable!

  • i think it is conscientious about the size of its ears.

  • Yeah, this poor animal is TERRIBLY abused...Don't get enuf to eat, terrible living quarters & I'm sure its human companion beats it on a regular basis...And I also have a big bridge in a large northeastern city I'll sell to you, too...

  • Omg he is SOOO cute!!!!!

  • favorite quote "I bet those ears can hear an ant fart"

  • ADORABLE. Althought if i had one as a pet, the fennec fox would probably hate me because i'll be constantly playing with the ears lol. toooo cute.

  • 0:09 is the best part

  • Does he get to go outside? I sure hope so since foxes are wild animals not pets.

  • @FaeTilly cats and dogs were once wild animals. Wouldn't it be great if we were friends with all the animals everywhere!

  • @FaeTilly They can be house pets actually. Read hun. Its does wonders.

  • Omg there is a fennec fox on wolfhome. Lol. xD

  • He/she is so cute. Thank For the video

  • He's like "Life is good." ^-^

  • i love your adorable little fox....

my boyfriend has one i love foxes ^^

  • Our cat started staring hard at this video. Tute.

  • it's so adorable when cleaning its ears :)

  • are fennce foxes allowed in america

  • yes

  • @rocktotheworld52 yes. yes they are. they require permits and need lots of space, that cage was probably for night use so it doesn't wreck the house.

  • did you have to get a pet license to own a fennec fox. Ive researched them for months now btw. so im ready to own one.. just sayin :) also do they shed?

  • If you took the time to research the animal you should have taken the time to research county/state law. It depends what state you're in, whether they allow them and if they do you need to be qualified. So depending on the state, yes you do need a permit. Go to your local court house and they'll have information.

  • Heh, 0:09 - 0:10 it squeeked. =]

  • It's fairly easy to tell if a canine is happy or not. Their body language is very easy to read (ear positioning, eye triangulation, tail wagging, eye movement, etc.) Plus, might the bond it has with its owner and the happiness it gets from that interaction be more valuable than absolute freedom? Not to mention the fact it now has assured sustenance and shelter.

  • he moves arounf a lot because fennec foxes have a lot of energy. needing to be constantly played with. like a cat they need attention. the move around a lot because thats the way their species is. do you research before you start calling people names

  • cats are not attention animals, canines are. do you do research before talking down to people? (of course cats need attention but not nearly as much. they are more self amused)

  • It's called a debate. She was being disrespectful to the other people responding. I wasnt trying to be rude. All animals need attention, some more then others. Just because I didnt say "canine" first excuse me. I wasnt meaning to talk down, I was trying to make her see she was attacking this guy without doing ANY research on fennec foxes. "Defending" an animal that she had no real info about and calling people names. An opinion is an opinion, but don't attack someone else for theres.

  • & I meant research in general about fennec foxes is what I was referring to, seeing as she hadn't done any before she attacked people. Are all animals the same? My cats need lots of attention. Just like some dogs don't need attention. It all depends on breed, age, and how many others are in the household. I was just using it as an example. Thanks for talking down to ME over it.

  • well you just attacked me for mine. good day.

  • I didnt attack you. Its not my fault you got offended.

  • would you quit trolling every fennec fox video you find you fucking moron? You spout of shit you don't even know about. You say "they BELONG in the wild!" and "her body language tells me this!" when you've never even had one, and probably haven't taken the fucking time to research it. Oh, but you of course know EVERYTHING and the actual OWNER is always mistreating the obviously well fed animal. Right, sure, whatever. How about you actually grow two brain cells to rub together before posting.

  • @jovialgamer It is not that the owner is intentionally mistreating the animal. It is that these animals deserve to be in the wild where they belong. To keep them as pets is very selfish.

  • @YunKaLala

Yeah, just like having a dog or cat is selfish. I guess if you were around years ago there would be no domesticated animals, would there?

  • look who is being rude. did YOU ask it if it was unhappy? they make great companions just like any other animal, be it ferret, sugar glider, dog, or fish. not just for a "cute" factor. they were originally encouraged to breed them like that to keep their numbers up. now their kind are doing great again. your point of view seems pretty short-sighted. you think their cute and assume everyone else is wrong for having them. they will always be breed in captivity, wiether we wont them as pets or not

  • dogs wernt ment to be pet or were cats so whats your point

  • get the fuck out

  • Yeah, because you know, this little fox would absolutely LOVE to get hunted or attacked by a big ass animal. =/

  • i love their ears!

  • how much money was he?????

    just asking.

  • never let them things out of your house unless you got a good leash cause if them things take off, and sombody found it there gonna keep it

  • If you think about it no animal was made to be a pet. A horse was wild running free but people caged them up and now ride them away without anyone saying something right? All animal was wild at one point. Dogs cat everything. but we turn them into pets. So if you say a fox can not be a pet because at one point they was wild then u should unleash every dog cat horse , fish every animal into the wild. I think its animal that a wild animal and a human can live together in peace and love.

  • if the little thing is happy than i am happy, but how crap i would feel if the the lil fella was sad, yo are right it is a 2 sided story as we pulled animals out of the wild BEFORE and in the PAST this doesnt make it ok to continue pulling animals out of the wild, instead of getting self satisfaction from owning a lil cutie like this, we should strive to get some self satisfaction out of rebuilding and sustaining these creatures habitats, (not driving fuel guzzlers etc.)

  • Agreed [:

    Good point buddy

  • If it was raised in captivity, then there is no returning to the wild. It would either die or return home. I do, though, agree that taking Fennecs from the wild is evil.

Also, Fennecs are a desert animal, and are not suited for forests. A Fennec in a forest would be eaten, or would just die.

  • There's been so much breeding with common house hold pets such as cats and dogs and other animals that they wouldn't survive in the wild =w= I'd like to see someone release all those animals without knowing that they wouldn't survive very long. And it's not like all household pets are suffering from being domesticated. It is true that some pets should be left in the wild, but because of us breeding animals so much some prefer being domestic.

  • First off, these are desert creatures...not forest foxes.

Furthermore, this is a domesticated fennec. Like many domestic animals, it would die if you tried to release it in the wild.

Sozuil's comment is right on the mark. Do you make these comments whenever you see a cat, dog or hamster?

  • obviously u haven't read my second comment below, first off you know it all, so it is a desert fox... whatever. I don't like the fact that they r a new domesticated animal, someone recently has taken them out of the wild... as to releasing them i understand they would not thrive well at all, but they never should have been taken out of the wild in the first place, so ladyjennalyn.. you keep ur environmental armageddon going by screwing with the natural scheme of nature. FOXES ARE WILD ANIMALS

  • So were dogs and cats at one point, but nobody thinks twice about gettin them.

"Ah man, I'm gettin a wolf"

"Ah man, I'm getting a black lab"

The only real difference is that one of these animals is domesticated, and one is taken from the wild. That's the exact same arguement between getting a domestic fennec from a breeder, or taking one out of the wild.

  • first of al, they are not "newly domesticated" they have been pets/guests in homes for quite some time now. by no means are they new to the home enviroment. and second, he was born a captive animal. raised immediatly by hand by humans. it is rare to find a breeder that just up and "took" one from the wild. its the same theory as buying a "wild" fish vs. a "captive" fish.

  • omg first the fennec fox is not newly domesticated he has probley been a house pet longer then you have benn a live unles ur some sick old perv who like to leave rude comments and u clearly have any cents at all and u did agenst this vid y the hell were u watching it ??

  • dogs were once wild animals.... their pets now.... cats were too, their pets now.

and you should do your research.....

they werent RECENTLY taken out of the wild....

and their NOT, note i said NOOOOTTTT, a new domesticated animal. its been happening a lot longer than you make it sound like. (comment is to mammothsoulja) these animals are allready domesticated, time to move on and actually PREVENT an animal from being domesticated

  • @ninjaone1 As much as I agree you should do some research on the difference between their and they're

  • @iDrooly you know what I meant, don't be a grammar Nazi

  • Oh my god that is cute, i want one :(

  • wow.... Cool

  • pobrecito sacale las pulgas animal

  • Seriously though, I would have him checked to make sure he does not have mites in his ears. I have a dog who has had that problem a couple times now.

  • Fennec fox's ARE ADORABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • That is adorable, lucky you, Its scratching a hell of a lot though, is that normal? I am thinking maybe you should check it for fleas.

  • Well, It could be grooming.. But, as I am not an expert on these animals, I don't really know. Checking for fleas is always a good thing though!

  • Does the cuteness know no bounds?!!!1!!! O.O

  • where do u get those? i want one!

  • do they ever bite?

  • ive heard that the fennec fox is less likely to bite than a housecat

  • I WANT ONE!!!

  • ...

  • im srry bout this, but are these foxes leagle in new york, and, i would like to know where u got urs? thanx for ur time :D bye

  • Aabsolutely magnificent.

  • 0:08 What is the Noise he makes Called?

I'm Doing a Research project on The Fennec Fox, So I need to know what the noise they make is called. And You you would care to share any information on them, Please Message me. Thanks.

  • Now you think about it, he could become the next Firefox Idle!

  • haha, it would just make the already perfect Firefox, better.

  • locked? notice it jumps INTO the cage....

    through the open door

  • Why on youtube does any video of a pet resort to discussion about cruelty to animals?

  • @valleyshrew Because people are stupid -_- i watched a video of a robo who fell off the spinning wheel (I love robos have two of my own)

    and automatically

Animal cruelty! You know thatspinning wheel causes them harm -________-

    Really?

    I mean.... really...

  • @valleyshrew Probably because people are jealous that they don't have a pet so they make pet owners fell bad for owning them, and other people don't know the basic behaviors of a certain animal.

  • @valleyshrew Because this is Youtube, a haven for idiots.

  • I imagine it would have to be contained until its fully trained not to chew up your house. Sort of like crate training with a dog.

  • Isn't Fennecs the greatest pals in the world? :D

Unhapply there is no fennec for sale in Brazil. (Well, I didn't find any...)

And I live in apartment, so I do not have much physical space for them. Oh yeah, and I don't think my annoying neighbors will be very happy with a kinda loudy animal. :P

  • "Watch me stick my entire foot into my ear! Ta-daaa!"

    Very cute video.

  • Fennec Foxes make me think of dogs that have the agility of cats. Seriously!

  • is it a fox???? what is it?

  • A fennec fox quite obviously lol

  • It is a type of fox from the Sahara Desert in Africa, they are known for their big ears and being the smallest fox in the world.

  • can you own one in pennsylvania does anyone know? if so, ill take two!

  • fennec foxs arnt really pets... unless you have hours of time and have memorized the numer 911. cute as theyy are they are ALOT of work even if they are domestacated theere still wild at heart

  • Are they legal to have?

And are they legal to have in other contries then yours?

What does they cost? And how do you care for them? Like a mix between a cat and a dog?

  • iv heard they are harder to take care of than a dog or a cat and they cost more because they need the right temperature (heating/lights) and they are night animals so yeah...hehe

im not the expert at having them as a pet i just know this from watching other videos and I did a science project on them so yeaahhhh....(:

  • oh yeah and in some countries you need like a special ... permit thing or something and they are hard to find... yeaah

oh and they are slowly getting extinct...:'(

    sorry random info

  • spread the word then

if more people start wanting fennecs they will be as abundant as cats and dogs

  • This is my favorite animal! They are sooo cute that they are too cute for words to describe them! I love them! It is funny how these small canines have very feline characteristics at the same time!

  • This is the cutest animal in the world!!!^.^

  • Beautiful Fennec!

  • It's so cute that I may be having a seizure right now! *.*

  • i want that kind of pet..i never knwu can keep a fox for a pett.coooool

  • In a few states it's legal to own red foxes, and I know that here in Georgia you can own a Fennec fox.

  • how can i find out which states are legal and were are not?

  • contact your local DNR, also even though they are fennec foxes they are considered a wild animal and fall under the fox category...foxes are controlled by jursdiction so also contact your town/city/village to see if it's okay...for me it was OKAY in my state but NOT okay in my village... ... i moved LOL

  • WHERE DID YOU GET ONE

  • in a labratory

  • question but are your fennecs litterbox trained?

  • He can jump. Are fennecs somewhat like dogs?

  • umm yes they dog typed bears r dog typed to and some other animal

  • i def want one and i love animals too:)

  • how sweet

  • I WANT ONE WHERE ARE THEY FROM!

  • it's adoarable! C:

  • omg this is to robeyta where did u get him/her and is it possible in canada i would love one plz plz plz plz plz plz plz plz plz tell me i dont wanna beg but i need to know

  • If you really just had to know, LOOK IT UP. That's what I've been doing, and I've actually found many many sites- but that was after life 4 months. Haha (because I can't get one now because I can not afford one- so I have just been researching them in the time between.)

But please, if you Really want to get one, please research them and give them a good home. Because I'm afraid by the way you speak that you might not be fantastic as an owner...

  • Hes so cute I wonder if you can teach em tricks :D

  • how did u get a fennec fox!?!?!^^,

did u get it from the wild..?

well very cute! ^^ whatcha name it?

  • damn, those are some huge ears.

  • They are 6 inches long ^-^h

  • i wanna hug a fennec fox! ^^

  • So were dogs, cats, birds and almost all domestic pets at one point. I'm sure this fox has a better life being a pet then it would out in the wild or at a fur farm.

  • i agree. just because they started out in the wild and have instincts to survive out there it doesnt mean theyre better off out there. as pets, if they have GOOD owners, they are well cared for and have better lives.

  • dude.... its FINE! I mean i looooove animals but its not like we are torturing the poor things. and about how many ppl do you think even OWN a fennec?!

  • They're probably better out domesticated. They don't have to live in the wild where it could get eaten. They're providing it with a good home.

  • And who said that domesticating dogs, cats, and birds were good things either? I personally think that they all should have been left in their natural habitat. I am not a fan of keeping them locked up, or even in good cases, taken around everywhere on a leash, still getting to see where they could be by themselves but still not free. And even worse with birds- they no longer get the whole sky. They get 8 square feet. Or a house. But no sky. '=/

  • i love my cat, my cat loves me. that's all i need to know to keep him my pet, i'll always have a pet cat.

  • You don't have any pets?

You're kind of just talking out of your ass unless you have rid yourself of all pets to let them "be free"

  • I have 2 birds, they never knew what flying in the wild was like, they were born in a cage with their siblings, it`s not like they go around feeling sad or depressed because of that, (in fact my birds are definantly over-joyed) Along with my 2 dogs, and I have no idea how my crayfish feels (which was born in captivity)

  • OH MAN That is the most adorable thing I've ever seen D8 I've always loved Fennec foxes, I never knew people could get them as pets <3

  • ssssssssooooooooooooooooo cute aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa cuteness attack help to cute for the human eye

  • I was gonna say just that.... ADORABLE! CUTE! AWESOMELY, INSANELY, IMMEASURABLY CUTE!

  • i may hug them to dead:( very sweet

  • I wuv this!!!!

Were can you buy those guys? Like.... little ones... babies... I plan on getting one once I get out of grad school.

  • Fist of all make sure your state/county/city allows for the owner ship of Fennec Foxes, then ask a near by pet store if they sell them, if they don't ask if they know where the nearest breeder is. You can also do a google search for Fennec Fox breeders but I don't recommend ordering one off of the internet as the shipment could be potentially fatal, try to drive there your self and pick him up. Also, do make sure you can care for the foxes needs, they are a wild animal and need special care.

  • Thanx guy!

I live in arizona.... but I'm not sure if they allow them there... I've seen a kit fox.... and I've SEEN a fennec in africa.. m...

  • fennec foxes are so cute! how did u get one?

  • Can these animals live alongside and play with other domestic dogs, say a Pomeranian, or German Shepard?

  • if you raise them together as babies, yes. otherwise, you cant be sure.

  • so cute!

    i love his bushy tail.

  • HOW LONG DO THEY LIVE FOR?

  • These things are made of cuteness.

Are they very social? Do they shy away from visitors?

  • Do they have carpal pads too?

    He is sooo cute!!!!!

  • 0:08 = Cutest sound EVER!

  • is he or she domesticated? (i do not know how to spell it) i never knew a fennec fox could be domesticated unless you raised it when it was a baby

  • Fennecs, my second favorite kind of Fox.

  • First?

  • BEAUTIFUL ANAIMAL

  • you could make quite a bit of money if u can breed these

  • seems lonely

    \

  • i love those animals!

  • it has big fluffy ears!^^

  • It's ears make it cuter!

  • woww

can yu buy this fennex fox/ if yu can. where?

  • Depends on where you live. I live in Oregon, and have a fennec, but some states don't allow it. I had to get a permit to keep him, which was $150, on top of the $1000 I paid to get him, and over $200 of vet and transportation costs. They're really quite the investment, not an animal to buy on a whim.

  • Such a cute fox

  • Your words are worth nothing without evidence to back them up. You have some 'splaining to do!

  • he obviously loves and cares about him/her so much taht he made a video....

  • why... its a pet..

  • WE have problems, you're the one who's cursing. It's somebody's pet.

  • omg! i never knew fennec foxes were like dogs~

    they're so cute too!

But do they not like being touched? or is their little squeal a squeal of joy?

  • They're squeakers apparently. A voice that you have to learn to love I guess.

  • I like it.Its cute.(Besides, you learn to get used to screeches after living with five siblings for a few years.)

  • nice jump lol he flew to his cage. what u guna do wen hes like 12 year old ya think heel still be able to jumo up there?

  • *sqeaks*

  • Cute fox!

  • Its soo cute!!! *i want one*

  • their so cute they are like if dogs, cats and rabbits could all have babies together!
