Don't care who it is playing. I know it ain't apocalyptica, thats for sure, but this is badass. I actually like violins more than electric guitars so this, to me, sounds better than the original. So badass. More people should do faster, more metal songs on classical instruments.

Stop voting down the people who say this isn't Apocalyptica. They're right. This is the Vitamin String Quartet's cover of The Trooper. Take the time to look it up and you'll see I'm right; they have entire albums of this stuff. It's pretty obvious that there are violins in this anyway, which would make it non-Apocalyptica on the spot.

and cellos are able to get up to sound like violins, but not as high as the violins can get

Yeah, it is the Little Emo Quartet, but the album they produced for Iron Maiden was published under Vitamin Records. The Vitamin String Quartet isn't a single quartet, it's generally a different group each album, depending on who is licensed to do the album. The overarching them is that they're all string quartets and it's always Vitamin Records, hence Vitamin String Quartet. :P

But yes, you are correct, more specifically this is the Little Emo Quartet.
