  • Don't use that download thing, maybe as a guild but i did it three times and it fits a baby...

  • @LADimagirl Enlarge it :D

  • Do you know any ways to make Fionna's hat?

  • @manmanpantsman I guess it would be precisely the same just make the ears longer : )

  • what's the seem allowance?

  • can you use a udershirt

  • sorry for my last comment but when i print the pattern out it trace it out all properly but when it stich it together it turns out to be too small any tips if you can leave me a video response to my channel thanks

  • i printed it out but when i traced itit stiched it but it was tooooooo small it was to small any tips

  • HOW DO I print THIS pleeeeeaaaaase HELLLLLLPPPP!

  • What size paper did you print the outline for the hat on? Please respond. (It'll save me a trip to my local printing shop thingy)

  • @SargentMcTrollington do what i did, print it in four sections (should be an option on your printer) then tape all the pieces together and trace them onto a larger piece of sturdy paper :)

  • thank you

  • slamacow!

  • ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOB...Where are you now? I found the girls at Craftzine. I found you accidentally looking how to DIY this hat! Good to see you!

  • @watchoutfornargles you need a bit of extra space because you need to leave a seam allowance (space between the edge of the fabric and where your actually seeing it). your not sewing the line right on the edge, you need seam allowance. so its goood if it dosent fit completley around your head before you've sewn it. it'll work out at the end.

  • Got the white felt and downloaded the paper but it seems to big I did 22 by 17

  • hey dude, could you help me out here? I printed and cut out the pattern on paper, but it doesn't fit completely tight around my head. it's a little wider (I'd say an inch or so). how is that with yours? you think I should make it a little smaller, or does it work out once I've sewn everything together?

  • Sibina210@ all I did to make the fionna hat was basically make the ears into bunny ears then for supports I pit a price of wire in each. They still wouldn't stay up so I attached the top and ears to a white hairband on the inside of the hat that held them up. Hope this helps you :-D

  • Is felt comfortable? I'm thinking of buying felt or fleece help me someone. *_*

  • @Cyndaquilly fleece is best. felt is itchy.

  • so how would I make the template bigger after I print it out?

  • omg i can make a......Fiona hat

  • Freaking awesome.... :D I'm gonna make it! Thanks!

  • Hey! What is that in the background on the shelf? Is that and adventure time game??

  • when i did this it was too small

  • Can You Do Finn's Backpack

  • @Merejkowski gay

  • Two hats made were $2.00. 2 yards of FELT from Jo Ann's. All I need is to make a design for a backpack.

  • i made one :D

  • Or u could just buy one from fye then again it is $16.99

  • @captainspockify

and a yard of fleece at joann's was $8.99

it all depends on if you're handy at sewing or not

  • do you think that it would be possible to make the ear peaces longer so that way it could look like Fionna??

  • I'm making this for my friend for her birthday. :>

  • @LadyAlzers me too! her birthdays today and i just finished it :3

  • I wanna make one for my best friend so we match!

  • Shoot... I only have enough felt for two hats...

  • @fredseibert How big was the piece of paper you printed on? Normal printer size? This will be helpful to make my own versions.

  • I'm gonna make 2 Fionna hats, 2 Finn hats, and 2 Jake hats. BY HAND. I'm giving them away to some lucky people I know.

  • A bit confusing... I am buying one on ebay!

  • thank goodness! I would have made my own but its sold out -w-

  • I made one. I failed because the pattern wouldn't print. now I'm just mad at myself.

  • @mrmeekl24 Hot topic....sucks, and btw I do believe they did sell them, but they had a huge Cartoon Network logo on it. Lame. Overpriced. Cheaply Made.

  • how big should the piece of felt be to buy?

  • I made mine and I love it Im gonna be finn for halloween its gonna be great

  • @islalader Can you help me?

  • MATHMATICAL!! i have mine

  • So I am just starting mine now. Am I the only one that, after cutting the main peice out, is sewing the two peices together to begin with? Instead of adding the lining later on I am starting out with a double thick peice. I am brand new to making stuff like this but that makes sense right? Same with the circle. I am going to double that up AS I sew it onto the hat.

  • THANKS DUDE

  • fudge, is there somewhere with the dimensions for the pattern so i dont need to print this?

  • I'm doing this for Halloween but adapting the ear pieces to be like Fionna's :)

  • @Izlajende Same here! algebraic!

  • Finished my hats!

  • I printed the layout at staples and the pattern was ridiculously huge. My suggestion is to go some where (officemax, staples etc) print it out measure your head cut the outline little by little to make sure it fits properly

  • I did the same thing with fionnas hat but I made the ears longer and held them up with wire it was awesome!! Then I went with my friend Jake who was dressed up as marshall lee( and has the perfect hair for it )and he made the ax guitar when we went to the cartoon expo in Ohio we both won 2nd place for costumes

  • @HelperRabbit 17.50x14 inches

  • whats the material for the lining?

  • @samkendall12 felt

  • i just traced the zoomed in pattern c: it came out perfect size and it was easier then fighting with my printer and setting etc. :p

  • LOVE this vid! It's so useful and easy to follow. I know your vid is old, but I found it recently for Halloween purposes. I posted a vid response to show off my hat- (and a backpack I also made)!

    Thanks!!!

  • I think I read somewhere that the paper itself was 17"x22"...so I guess just eyeball it from there?

  • this is mathematical. thank you!

  • is there a Fionna verison on the pattern??

  • @xxpyroxsamxx Do the same thing but make the ear pieces longer. thats what im gonna do

  • @xxpyroxsamxx I'm assuming all you need to do is lengthen the ears and make them more bunny-like. When you buy your fabric materials, buy extra so you have enough for bigger ears.

  • Just made this hat. SO mathematical! ^D^

  • is this like one size fits all or something O_o

  • I'm going to make this sometime!

  • im so confused as to why he folded the piece of fabric over at the start, essentially cutting two shapes, then makes no further mention to it? :/

  • @rhysdoubletube he uses the other one for his inside thingy at 3:03

  • @Cartycartcar Oh yip shot there it is

  • Make me one Ahhaahh

  • This may be unrelated but you are really fucking attractive. Just sayin'

  • How did you make yours print out so big? please help ive got a halloween dance soon and id love to be finn

  • @Cartycartcar use Adobe Acrobat reader ( free on adobes site) then when you are about to print click Scaling: and select tile large pages. the preview picture on the side should say 17 by 22. This prints the pattern in segments and you can tape the pieces together.

  • @TheSmilingRobot this was really helpful, thank you!

"use Adobe Acrobat reader ( free on adobes site) then when you are about to print click Scaling: and select tile large pages. the preview picture on the side should say 17 by 22. This prints the pattern in segments and you can tape the pieces together."

  • i dont care if he's a dude, i wanna be finn for halloween! ;D

  • @Cocoeiyo Same here! My mom's, all, "Be Fionna instead!" And I'm, all, "Hellz no!" Hahaha

  • TO PRINT THE FULL SIZE VERSION: Go to Adobe Acrobat reader, and select “tile large pages” from the print menu. This will require 4 sheets of paper.

  • My name is finn... I want this D:

  • They sell them at F.Y.E. in the mall? lol

  • the most common face ever! 3:03

  • how about fiona's top? it seems to be more circular. is there a pattern for that? anyone? thanks.

  • I wanna jake hat :/

  • SMOWZOW

  • i sadly lack a needle! my favorite sewing needle too! xD i used a t-shirt and i hope it comes out right since i'm hand sewing it ;D

  • @Lovethatsmyname no prob =3

  • @Lovethatsmyname yeah i just made the finn version, and it was suuuper small just fyi to everybody, make it a little bit bigger for a seam allowance

  • @MockItBirds okay thanks :D

  • im makin two of these for me and my friend for halloween except im makin mine FIONA!!!! just take the ear pieces (#3) and make them longer, about 3-5 inches!!!!

  • @MockItBirds same here hahaxD

  • @MockItBirds i am going as fionna too

  • @HelperRabbit ...the measurements are your own. get a measuring tape and what ever your size is u make the pattern that size

  • Felt or Fleece??

  • @aiimangrykid101 either one will work ;)

  • Slamacow! I know what I'm doing for Halloween!

  • @DeathTheKid4497 i know right

  • @HelperRabbit You need Adobe Reader 10, which if free for PC and Mac. Then go to print the pattern and select "Tile Large Pages" under page scaling. It will print on four pieces of paper, and you can tape those pieces together. That's what I did.

  • @SpyroMinxy Awesome, thanks so much dude! :D I'm sure I'm not the only one who's happy someone figured it out how to get this pattern out.

  • Anyone who has made a hat, do you know the rough measurements? The circle is 20cm (10cm radius) for mine and the side bits look far too small :/

  • thats not retarted at all, but ur hawt without your hat on :)

  • DID THEY MAKE PRE-WRITES OF THE SHOW AT 0:43-0:49?!

  • @JennaMay410 No, that's the original short that inspired adventure time

  • this is hard to make i've tryed like 12 times

  • is it washable ?

  • ono i just ruined a blanket o.o

  • @MayofPie The fiona hat is the same thing but you make longer ear things and push some hair out of it :3

  • How many meters of fabric did u use?

  • @sockmonkeywarz I bought 2 feet and had almost half of it left!

  • your eyes are beautiful

  • I want a FIONA hat!!!!

  • @MayofPie Same steps, just make bigger ears and stick some wire or something in them so they stand up straight.

  • Me to I am going to be Fiona for halloween

  • this is so helpful, thank you <3 imma make a fionna version.

  • How do you get to the page handling section for "Tile Large Pages"?

  • I don't like that the top looks squared off from the circle on top or the strap on the bottom.. Is there anything out there that just slips on without the opening strap?

  • That was tops!!~~

  • totally right jake! that was absolutely righteous! now i wint have to spend $20 at hot topic for one
