My friend adopted a deaf dog, he as so much character and everyone he meets loves him. He makes everyone laugh when he barks are he sounds like a bird XD

@zaurtrien...HAHA Yeah it can bark...I am deaf and able to talk...some of the deaf people can not talk due to lack of speech threapy..you know? Nah deaf dogs can feel everything just like us...grinning

myself deaf use sign language the same thing deaf dogs can bark plus when see deaf dogs have almost full white depend breed hard to tell which is deaf or not...i alway want deaf pet feel the same no different just God gift reason...a lot people think deaf cant read or write but they are wrong ...the same thing with animals who are deaf there no different just show love and friendly inside heart alway beautiful

I can't even tell that they are disabled- all I see are two very happy and loved canines :)

You guys have inspired me-- I plan on adopting a disabled, older dog from my local shelter as soon as I graduate college (only one more year!!).

yes, ears and vocal cords have little to do with each other. barking is an instinct, lots of deaf dogs are very vocal when excited or afraid etc.

Bless you, i love to see animals with loving homes and owners. I get so sad to hear or see the abuse that people do to animals :(. What they do in China and Russia is too cruel to talk about, and it saddens me because the animals never did anything to deserve it.
