instant kill with jigglypuff.-get a fan and just beat the crap out of someone until their damage is above 70% and then use rest (down+B) immediately & they die. Rest can also be used to kill someone if they are beating you with a fan and their health is over 70%. Rest can also be used to dodge some specials, bombs, and other things. When it is first used, you will see her flash for a second. when she flashes, she becomes invincible...time everything correctly and it will work. in SSMB

a good way to practice rest is one final destination with either toon link or twilight link. throw him far enough from the stage so that he tries to return. he will most certainly hover above you with his recovery special. get under him and use rest just as he lands on top of you. its a great way of useing rest other than jumping on you're opponents or hitting them with a pit fall trap. jigglypuff's an item hog, and most definantly a smash ball hog.
The hitbox of it is the eyes(Enemy has to be inside Jigglypuff)to hit. Not sure about SSBB, but in SSBM, this can kill when the enemy is at 30%+ in FD(instant kill in Yoshi Story)
i think just nerfing the fighters is the dumbest thing to do, even though the suits do it to balance the roster out, they both nerf the stronger fighters and buff the lower ones, that only means the they just done a 180 and the problem continues to exist, the best way i believe is to just leave the better fighters alone and beef up the lower ones, that will solve the problem

The only thing nerfed really is rest. Jigglypuff controls much smoother in Brawl than the other games, and has more speed added on to some moves. Most people just care about rest though, which is why they look past Jigglypuff for the most part. There's plenty there that still makes Jigglypuff a decent character, no one really cares enough though. Most characters aren't even really used in Brawl, so no one still knows really anything about them, it's all Meta Knight and Snake really.

Jigglypuff is hard to use. He doesn't suck. You'll have to master its strengths and weaknesses. I have. Jigglypuff has awesome jumping abilities. That's why it's better too use aerial attacks with Jigglypuff.
well in melee, if you used her alt. costume with Peach's crown, that could cause some excellent snapshots. I mean in melee, ganon had the biggest bulge (pause right when he does his dAir if you can't see it) and if a jiggly did that to him, could you imagine his pain lol

ULITIMATEBRAWLER- jiggly puff appeared in the first season of the show as much as team rocket. when they put her into melee they decided to also put her in brawl.
Jigglypuf is good at smash attaks but 3 out of 4 of her special moves are defence moves and I feel that someone like Bowser, Meta Knight, Diddy Kong and Red(pokemon trainer) should've been in the first game cause they're more important. Diddy and Red were suposed to be in the 1st game thats why thier DOJO profile starts of saying they FINALY ARRIVED. I think it says the same thing for Dedede.
The only characters that were SUPPOST to be in the first were Peach, Bowser(both not added due to too many Mario reps), King Dedede(Kirby didn't need another rep), Pit(A charatcer they thought too many people might not know), Lucas (Ness was just all-around better and known by Americans and his game wasn't even released yet) and Mewtwo(Jigglypuff is more popular).
I know Bowser, Mewtwo, Dedede, and Peach were suppost to be in the 1st game and I agree about Mewtwo needing to be in the first game but Nintendo also wanted to add Diddy and Red in there too. Diddy was suppost to be added because Luigi was the only sidekick in the game but wasn't because at the time DK was classified as a Mario character. Red wasn't added because Nintendo thought he'd get confused with Ash(basd off of Red).

I think Jigglypuff has been nerfed in this game. She seems slower, weaker and lighter and her Rest is actually worse. She used to be one of the best in Melee (well I managed to beat Giga Bowser with her).
The thing about Jigglypuff is that she's hard to master, but once mastered, she's a force to be reckoned with. I was the same way with Pikachus, but I went online and had my butt handed to me by Pikachu. D:
Yup, using Jigglypuff's final smash under the stage is a technique that most people don't know of. The outcome is much better because it takes less space up above and more on the sides, as well as what orochimarujes says.
i know this is kinda cheap, but if you ko the opponent and they respond, you can just throw em' off the edge and use puff up for another ko. they can't reach the edge you just threw them off of. awesome but kinda cheap trick!

It's her down B move. Use it while overlapping an opponent, and send them flying! It also adds a flower to their head which racks up damage slowly for a few seconds. But, sadly, Rest was stronger in Melee, wasn't it?
I main Jigglypuff, and I always have since SSB64. Rest is a pain in the ass to use if you're not familiar with it. The best suggestion I can give you is to start back on '64 and work your way up. Getting used to Rest takes time, if you don't want to do it that way, start out in training mode or in the Wi-Fi lobby; use Rest on stationary opponents first so you learn how to execute it.
Also, a quick note of advice, Rest and Rollout are significantly weaker this time around, be aware of that, too.

Yes, as do a lot of people. Anyone making contact with Jigglypuff's centre when rest is used gets blown to kingdom come, it's insanely satisfying to pull off against a friend.
Anyone hit also gets a flower on their head that deals steady damage. I think that's to compensate for the fact that it's toned down compared to Melee

Jigglypuff is my main. I can kill with her, along with thousands of other Brawl players out there. Her pound is a great first-hit move, her rest is a killer, but her rollout is the move to victory.
The Rollout is too easily dodged. As long as she's nowwhere near the character, Rest doesn't work, and Hypnosis is too short a range. I will admit, however, the Pound is a good juggler.
However, her physical attacks and A moves are weak, as so are her flight capabilities which are just a copy of Kirby's. Also, she's sailed out of the arena too easily.
Try a 1 on 1 computer level 9 battle against Jigglypuff.
Lol, why are people so offended when I call Jigglypuff a good character? Anyone can be an expert fighter with any character, including Pichu from Melee. It depends how much you know about them and their techniques, and how you use them.

Oh please can it. Jigglypuff is the worst character in terms of damage and actual effect. It's Final Smash is easily dodged, and that's saying it can even grab the smash ball from stronger, more effective characters like Lucas, Kirby, Peach, Ness, or Metaknight.

Diddy and Red were suposed to be in the 1st game thats why thier DOJO profile starts of saying they FINALY ARRIVED. I think it says the same thing for Dedede.

The only characters that were SUPPOST to be in the first were Peach, Bowser(both not added due to too many Mario reps), King Dedede(Kirby didn't need another rep), Pit(A charatcer they thought too many people might not know), Lucas (Ness was just all-around better and known by Americans and his game wasn't even released yet) and Mewtwo(Jigglypuff is more popular).

I know Bowser, Mewtwo, Dedede, and Peach were suppost to be in the 1st game and I agree about Mewtwo needing to be in the first game but Nintendo also wanted to add Diddy and Red in there too. Diddy was suppost to be added because Luigi was the only sidekick in the game but wasn't because at the time DK was classified as a Mario character. Red wasn't added because Nintendo thought he'd get confused with Ash(basd off of Red).

I think Jigglypuff has been nerfed in this game. She seems slower, weaker and lighter and her Rest is actually worse. She used to be one of the best in Melee (well I managed to beat Giga Bowser with her).

In the pokemon games Rest (down B) make you sleep and give you full life but in brawl you sleep and if you hit a enemy you make damage.

The thing about Jigglypuff is that she's hard to master, but once mastered, she's a force to be reckoned with. I was the same way with Pikachus, but I went online and had my butt handed to me by Pikachu. D:

it has excellent jumps like kirby.
nice recovery moves (the charge move and the jump)
nice C-stick moves dat does a lot of damage,
unpredictable singing skill to confuse your opponent,

Nope. She doesn't fall during Puff up for some reason. I know a lot of other characters fall while doing their Final in the air.
And once she's done, she can safely make it to a ledge with pound.

Yup, using Jigglypuff's final smash under the stage is a technique that most people don't know of. The outcome is much better because it takes less space up above and more on the sides, as well as what orochimarujes says.

i know this is kinda cheap, but if you ko the opponent and they respond, you can just throw em' off the edge and use puff up for another ko. they can't reach the edge you just threw them off of. awesome but kinda cheap trick!

It's her down B move. Use it while overlapping an opponent, and send them flying! It also adds a flower to their head which racks up damage slowly for a few seconds. But, sadly, Rest was stronger in Melee, wasn't it?

I main Jigglypuff, and I always have since SSB64. Rest is a pain in the ass to use if you're not familiar with it. The best suggestion I can give you is to start back on '64 and work your way up. Getting used to Rest takes time, if you don't want to do it that way, start out in training mode or in the Wi-Fi lobby; use Rest on stationary opponents first so you learn how to execute it.
Also, a quick note of advice, Rest and Rollout are significantly weaker this time around, be aware of that, too.

Yes, as do a lot of people. Anyone making contact with Jigglypuff's centre when rest is used gets blown to kingdom come, it's insanely satisfying to pull off against a friend.

Anyone hit also gets a flower on their head that deals steady damage. I think that's to compensate for the fact that it's toned down compared to Melee

Jigglypuff is my main. I can kill with her, along with thousands of other Brawl players out there. Her pound is a great first-hit move, her rest is a killer, but her rollout is the move to victory.

The Rollout is too easily dodged. As long as she's nowwhere near the character, Rest doesn't work, and Hypnosis is too short a range. I will admit, however, the Pound is a good juggler.
However, her physical attacks and A moves are weak, as so are her flight capabilities which are just a copy of Kirby's. Also, she's sailed out of the arena too easily.

Lol, why are people so offended when I call Jigglypuff a good character? Anyone can be an expert fighter with any character, including Pichu from Melee. It depends how much you know about them and their techniques, and how you use them.

Oh please can it. Jigglypuff is the worst character in terms of damage and actual effect. It's Final Smash is easily dodged, and that's saying it can even grab the smash ball from stronger, more effective characters like Lucas, Kirby, Peach, Ness, or Metaknight.
