I wish that we didn't have to rely on fear in order to keep people in line (i.e. war criminals' fear of punishment.)

I wish that we had a socio/cultural/political/econo­mic system where the concept of hurting others (much less war) was obsolete.

I wish that instead of using fear as a tool of negative motivation, that we would, societally/ culturally, abandon the concept of people having economic and coercive power over each other.

Real power exists in respectful relationships with each other.
