BrightHouse contracts out all their tech guys just so they can't be held responsible when the tech guys fuck up or don't fix the problem. I also agree that they always blame the customer for their fuckups, like when they decided to cut my Internet a day earlier than scheduled.

My modem goes out about 4-6 times a day and ive had it swapped 3 times in 5 months. I get about 1942kbps upload speed after I reset the modem and about 2 minutes later it drops down to 100kbps. And my computer is brand new, I haven't even done anything on it and internet is slow. Download speed is great but upload sucks. Ive been having trouble with brighthouse for over 1 year, they suck. Can't wait to get rid of them.

Then you should know there is no password to use the internet with Bright House. They can't get on your internet unless they have your modem or your wireless router password, which you can very well change and they can't read it, because the router is separate from the modem.

It forces me to open fresh pages as though they are renewing my IP every few hours. As you know RR has a static IP. It's very weird and something I have never experienced before. See, Fox, and previously, WKMG, wants to charge Bright House to re-air a channel that is free over the air, and is blaming Bright House on it with their commercials. WKMG played and tried this, and ultimately lost, they didn't get a cent. FOX is playing the game now too. It's greedy of FOX to do such a thing when they do get paid by their advertisers.
They deserve compensation. TNT is asking for 1$ per subscriber. FOX, who gives bright house much better rating and ultimately revenue, is asking for the same 1$ per subscriber. People don't give ESPN crap for charging i think 5$ per subscriber. Bright House needs to keep FOX or im done with them. If anyone is greedy it is Bright House. FOX doesn't want to give their shit out for free anymore.

Sorry, but I am firm on this, their advertisers pay for it. They remove FOX, there will be less viewers of FOX thus less viewed advertisement.. It would be a loss on FOX more than BHN.
The charges wouldn't need to come back to the costumer because Bright House has made a HEALTHY profit this year, i think the number was over 2 billion. However, this just adds to my frustration with bright house, even if they are not in the wrong. I pay a lot for cable and when channels like FOX are not available I am going to take my business else where. Direct TV offers more channels then I get now for a fraction of the price.
Or hook up good ol rabbit ears and just get the channel for free.. Even if you have an analog TV, one time payment for a converter box is a lot cheaper. And if you have a TV with a digital tuner built in, the picture quality will be better, because BHN and Satellite companies have to re-compress it (despite them saying they don't, I have captured the MPEG2 streams, they are compressed to a lower bit rate).
i think its time to change your isp. you are not getting what you are paying for so brighthouse are breaking the law. i get throttled in the uk with bt but its not a problem as its at peak times only. best of luck with this farce of an isp!
Hey I live in Central florida and for the past two days I have lost and gained connection to youtube. And I have pretty fast connection with Bright House.
Lets not forget too, the sites that can't be accessed, can in fact be pinged from your computer, therefore I find it NOT to be a router, but filtering gone wrong.
Its sucks when brighthouse really the only game around.
