Very good I enjoyed. The thing that turned my life around was your point #2. I use to try to accomplish 10 things at once, and nothing ever got done. It wasn't until I learned to pick one thing at a time and work at it until it was completed, that my life started to take off in the direction I always dreamed off. I also have become addicted to the high of COMPLETING things. Even the small things like reading a book all the way through does it. Thank's for the video I will watch the rest now.
Great Jeff! My situation is that I want to enter the field of marketing in the gaming industry but found this out late (I'll have to study at least 6-8 years to be taken serious in that business). Always having worked low-paying work and basically always being unsuccessful makes it hard for me to think I can be really successful and that makes me procrastinate.. and then I get angry with myself and procrastinate even more. How do you stop that negative circle?
Hi xtrafly23...listen, you've just got to stop paying attention to the negative thoughts that are holding you back. You've got to focus on and absolutely believe in what it is you want to become, and then commit to taking forward action every day. Go read the Attractor Factor by my friend, Joe Vitale...and watch "The Secret"...go do it! Best, Jeff
yeah, sometimes actions should be prior to be executed to find out how to finish our goal, especially when we haven't enough time and ways to choose! appropriate quick action and reaction is aways good thing.
Sometimes, procrastination rears it's ugly head, when you're not quite sure what the sequence of the next steps and then, how to execute them. Not only that...but gee...how would you react, if everything went according to plan? Could you handle it? Overwhelm then sets in, and its' just easier to put it off, until you know more....find someone...learn more...well, you know what I mean.
I think the same is true of all creative people--the idea is always more exciting than the execution, so it's easier to put off the latter and move on to a pristine new idea! When I have a new idea, I jot it down, remind myself that this one, too, will involve challenges and a certain amount of grunt work, and return to the current project.
You're right, jurgenwolff! Execution is harder than thinking about great ideas...but great entrepreneurs learn to love the execution just as much as the ideas. Thanks!
Jeff: You have hit a few nails on the head here. This is right where I am in my business. Bored. Yeah, the thrill is over. Overwhelm. Yeah, you should see my desk. Confidence slip? Yeah, like if kids stop coming to my school. However, the last few steps of 6 were cut off, I think. Great job I will be re-checking your site.
Charlie, thank you. Take some time to think about how you can rekindle your excitement and get your confidence back. It's probably time to read something motivational...I'd recommend reading Goals by Brian Tracy to help rekindle your motivation...keep pressing forward! Thanks,
Thanks Jeff, got right to the Point!!
