I agree with Alex when you use public transportation you meet people and have

nice conversations! If I went to visit London, England the first thing I would to do is ride on a London double-decked bus to see the sites of the city! If Alex wanted to use public transportation in Chicago all he need to buy is an all day CTA pass for $5.75 which can be used on a bus or train to get see all the sites in the city!

Somehow, I had a gut feeling that Alex didn't know how to drive. ^^ I recently moved to New York, and I really like public transportation because you are helping the environment and you are very aware of the other people that live in this crazy city. I do miss my old car, though. Driving on a back country road, windows down, music playing really loud, going 18 miles over the speed limit. It's magical.

When you said Alex couldn't swim i was sooooo suprised. We went to France one year and the house we stayed in had a pool. We speant EVERY day in the pool it was awesome. My grandad is disabled and can just about manage to walk and one morning i woke up and he was in the pool fully clothed holding his walking stick in front of him trying to swim.
