I watched another one fo your videos before making this comment. While this shows tons of promise are doing something funny with your right hand.

You are placing your third finger underneath the third valve cap (and putting horizontal pressure on the valve). This will cause a mis alignment of the valve and is probably contributing to your slow third valve. On top of causing this is can cause your third finger to lag behind the rest as it isn't prepared to press the valve if needed.

@scottfg they finally did. they got me a used bach on my birthday last year :) but last year I played the whole time not knowing that there were several leaks in the lead pipe.. haha

Good sound and all I have to say, is GO GIRL! There needs to be more professional female trumpeters and you definitely have it. And yes, you do have the attitude to go with the trumpet but it's an instrument that needs to be mastered!

you could probably open up your sound a bit if you take some of the stress off the face. It really looks like there's a lot of pressure going backward rather than result going forwards.

I'm unmedicated for asthma myself ^^ my tone kinda sucks here because of my horrible mic. For hitting high notes you just have to keep a strong, consistant stream of air going. And also be sure not to put too much pressure on the mouthpiece

honestly... ud be surprised by this but. i bought a jean bastige trumpet for 240$, and the valve completely suck! each one gets stuck now a days after only 2 months of playing. my school trumpet, thats been in it for over 20 years, has valves of steel. its amazing one lil oil drop and the whole thing works for like 2 weeks. id rather have my schools valves than my own trumpets... but i cant do tahat lol they wont fit. GL with the job thing and a new trumpet@

Yeah to be honest my trumpet sucks, especially my third valve. I always have trouble with it.. but I've heard it's just the type of horn I have. I suppose a 400 dollar trumpet is better than a school instrument, but I still want to get a job so I can buy a new trumpet.
