when you get to the step where the apple logo pops up you DONT LET GO of the center button just switch from holding the menu button to the previous button . that why it did work for some people.

i have a 4gb iPod Nano 2nd generation and when i plug it into my computer(i have windows vista) it charges but it doesn't pop up on my computer and it doesn't show up on itunes as well someone please help!!!!!!!!

i did this years ago reset it and during the logo hold center and play pause then you can "hack " it into disc mode.
