Extending the Olive Branch to Confused Matthew

I think that CM's review of 2001 is incredibly poorly done. I'll immediately get flack because I'll be labeled a Kubrick-ite (how is that for irony, it's now taboo to like 2001 in the presence of a CM fan), but his review of 2001 is essentially wrong. Why? His other reviews have to do with logical problems with the film, including plot holes and abandoned narratives. 2001 doesn't have those. He criticizes it for being nothing, and almost every point he makes counters logic and his own points.
