hahahahaha this was pretty freaking funny...you're meant to soft boil the egg and cut it in half looool he broke it and dropped it in and stirred it into nothing, how terrible lol
@laeth1988 In Egg drop you do drop the egg in but not like this. He use the Noodles from the ramen package for fast noodles. However in Traditional Ramen you do boil a egg. Hw however wa snot making Ramen but Egg drop soup. Just being cheap and using the noodles from a Ramen package.
@BlueNekoFire ya - I stir-fry the chicken, onion & veggies first - then add the ramen to the wok - it's like regular noodles XD I guess if you like boiled meat, you could just throw the chicken into the water real early and let it boil until cooked thru
@america85353 nooo - he did a terrible job but I made some ramen noodles yesterday with some chicken & onions & some proper egg-dropping & it was DELICIOUSSS XD
Arguing in the comments section on a video of how to make egg drop soup from a 0.60 cent pack of noodles. LOL Let's push the real-o-meter into the red.
@game4life12 You are dreaming if you really have cancer you didn't get it from making and eating egg drop soup. Why don't people think before they open their mouths and spout garbage like that.
rofl. This is not how to make egg drop soup. I cook the ramen noodles with the sauce packet so the noodles pick up flavor. Then when they are done I turn the heat off slowly pour the beaten egg into the pan constantly stirring as I do. You don't just pour two whole eggs in and then stir them into the noodles. Try it my way it will be better.
Man, I love the heck out of Top Ramen. Is it the noodles too that's so bad for you, or is it just the flavoring packet? Because I make my chicken on the stovetop and I can always add water after I'm done (and pull the chicken out, of course) and use the chicken juice instead of the little packet.
@johnnecron Oh, I know they are. That's why the last time I made a double batch I only added 1 packet. I wonder if the store bought powdered chicken bouillon would be better next time. I'll leave the corn to you, but I love chopped (green only) onions on anything onions should go on.
...doggone, it totally just made me want some now!
@Piney97 Oh heck yeah, try something like this when you're about to have a movie marathon... totally makes me regret that I don't have any Top Ramen. x (
beat your egg or eggs in a cup. when noodles are half way cooked and the water is boiling rapidly slowly pour in the egg while you stir in one direction. you get nice long strands of egg!
@cullenblack Whoa, they have a "Chicken and Cheese" version? I've had Chicken Picante (one packet that to one packet regular Chicken), and had (and LOVED) Chicken Sesame, but I haven't heard of Chicken and Cheese (not that I haven't added my own chese lol).
they make it in Korea all the time. just slice up some cooked chicken breast mix with the noodles and cover with cheese. they do the same thing with thin sliced beef.
@cullenblack Yeah, I rarely have the ramen soup just by itself. Those noodle soups are quite the guilty pleasure; my holistic provider had told me I should avoid wheat (except sprouted wheat like Ezekiel Bread, or I WOULD have some tucked away!) so I've tried this rice version in the bowl you just add hot water to. I'm hoping it was just the brand or something because that stuff was so lousy I couldn't even finish it! Maybe I'll try just rice noodles and do like you're talking about.
lol i didnt know other people did this. Whenever i tell people i add an egg or two to my ramen they make weird faces. a girl in Lithuania told me she did that though, but also used cheese. I tried it and loved it even though i thought the cheese was weird. but it makes the noodles creamy and gives it an awesome cheesy flavor.
@Jinxxed0 same I told me friends at school to try it because they always bring packages and eat it raw lol and they look at me and are like...an egg? is he high? O_o
@YGOtoolbox Shoot, if they think you're high because you want to put eggs in there, they must not like Egg Drop soup in the first place. I think THEY'RE high for wanting to eat the noodles raw. x P
I put my noodles on high and then let the water go down and when the noodles look about ready or are kind of sticking to the pot i drop the egg in it then in 2min or less or whenever the egg cooks in i put in the beef flavor pack and then mix and it is like pasta not soup. i dont like it watery like soup because then you can barely taste the egg with the beef flavor combo!!
Oops... o.o What I suggest is that when the water boils, you add the ramen noodles and break in the egg, then immediately turn off the heat... that way when the ramen softens perfectly, the egg will also be cooked and the timing is perfect... and you can enjoy a delicious ramen meal... :P Bon appetit <3
Well, good vid! I have lived in Japan for a couple of years, and I just fell in love with ramen, and anime. And whenever I feel a craving for some ramen, I don't just use what the pack tells me to, I customize it. This is a great way of customizing your ramen soup for a better ramen..."experience"? Well, use chopsticks, and don't use a fork, chopsticks are alot easier to handle when making ramen, oh, and I usually don't stir the yolk of an egg with the broth of the soup, I let it sit and cook.
Okie dokie... for the short bus kids... please read what I posted.
Cracking an egg on the edge of anything increases the chance of shattered egg shell in your egg mixture. That's all. If you don't mind eggshell no problem.
Cracking an egg directly into a recipe will not kill you (necessarily) but it MAY RUIN your cooking. Unless you like sulphur "rotten egg" seasoning. If you crack it into a bowl first you can see and smell if it is 'bad'.
If you have preteen kids, you should be setting a better example than trolling Youtube videos of college cuisine. I would expect this behavior from an adolescent.
Also, try buying fresh eggs. I've not once came across a bad egg, nor do I get egg shells by cracking on the side. Using the edge of the pan gives a clean crack instead of a shattered mess that a flat surface is prone to. Plus, I doubt this guy is worried about a bad egg ruining his 10 cent Ramen packet.
whip them eggs right in the pan and it makes a thick broth. also use just enough water to cover the noodles. Eggs are the only way I east Ramen! good job.
Nice! Thanks I might try this tomorrow...I want to learn how to make real ramen soup just like they do in Japan..so this is one step closer..i guess...
SORRY but i had to do this im kinda freaked out. in 1908 a lady named sally rusa was in the woods looking for a dog until a ghost came and killed her so if ur reading this u will find a bloody body in your closet hanging there haunting you and will kill you and ur family and if u want to stop this just sends this to 6 videos in 30 mins or this will happen good luck
I mix the egg with a splash of milk and a pinch of garlic, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Then I temper the egg mixture before adding it to the soup, cook it on med-high for 2-3 more mins after adding the egg mixture while stirring moderately, and it's done. Honestly, it looks pretty unappetizing, but it tastes like omnomnomnomnomnomnomnom.... you get my point. :D
not how it's done, there's a reason it's call egg DROP soup.... The eggs are to be beaten enough with a fork to loosen them up to more of a liquid consistency(you can remove yolks if you wish), and slowly poured into the hot soup while simultaneously, but slowly stirring the soup. The soup should not be boiling while the eggs are being poured; when the noodles are close to being done, reduce the heat until the soup stops boiling, then add the egg.

@babycakesjk u mean like u dude come on nobody it is his point of view many ppl in america love egg drop soup i am one of them if anyone is racist here it is u
@tinkerbella617 OMFG I'm getting so fucking sick of clarifying myself. Look at my last comment, its the 4th down. Theres a reason my comment at the top is highest rated....
well, we do that in our country since long time ago.. it's already like a custom.. :)
we sometimes only stir the white egg and leave the yolk cooks in the soup until it's half-boiled.. well, two-third boiled for sure.. then break it when we're just gonna eat the ramen.. it taste so good when it mixes with the soup.. :9
i don't know you will like it or not, but you should try it.. and let me know if you like it^^

he's like a marshmellow at a camp fire slowly burning becoming blacker by the second ,which represents where he will go when he dies [HELL]. japanese people have'nt any rights to their food customs once they are in america. lol dumb cunt
who fucked u up? where are our anyones food rights? i mean mcdonalds are all over the world, even japan. u have ur own opinions, and i can understand that, but i really dont agree with racism. no hard feelings? we can just drop it and prevent a dumb agruement right now
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
lets continue this you pokemaster cunt , mcdonalds will always be an american resteraunt because it makes america what it is ..FAT!! in japan its still american food because those little motherfuckers dont appriciate a good fattening burger , so fuck japan. they rather eat rice and vegetables and shit. also japan food is american because we over induldge in it more than they do, so we own it. we are greedy fuckers.
wow, come on man calm it down. and its only a hobby,im not obsessed w/pokemon. anyway why are you puttin down everyone, and then even dissing our own country? and this "ramen" here isnt even authentic,so it counts as american. and they eat what they eat because thats whats been native to the country and what they've been eating for hundreds of years. and they eat meat too, including beef. and if they didnt appreciate burgers, why would there be mcdonalds? just end this shit
yeah you're uneducated. AMERICA is a melting pot. and the chinese, japanese, and korean food that are made HERE are not authentic. it's americanized. asian people like HEALTHY food. it's just the way we were raised. so save your comments to yourself, white trash.
My favorite version of this is the egg drop version, but I drop mine into my bowl and eat it partially raw. That is a little more authentic and how I was taught.
thanks for posting the video. i'm going to try this with the smart ramen because using regular ramen for this recipe wouldn't be considered healthy. plus smart ramen has a lot less sodium :D
sorry, but you must live on your own, or your wife doesn't cook. seriously, you could be eating alot better if you had someone help you cook. that looks gross

At NASA they taught us egg float soup, very similar!
investur 3 years ago
so does the egg float or fall in to the ramen? or the does the whole meal just float?
theminhister 3 years ago
well, we do that in our country since long time ago.. it's already like a custom.. :)
we sometimes only stir the white egg and leave the yolk cooks in the soup until it's half-boiled.. well, two-third boiled for sure.. then break it when we're just gonna eat the ramen.. it taste so good when it mixes with the soup.. :9
i don't know you will like it or not, but you should try it.. and let me know if you like it^^

What flavor?
Chicken or Beef
dl33t 3 years ago
thats not authentic ramen, the egg is supposed to cook once it lands, it should imediatly be done.
jun10r0m 3 years ago
Its instant noodles.... its not really authentic either way. I wanna get real ramen one day. The kind made in japan.
I usually like to add potatoe, onions, leek, and garlic to my ramen. Its takes more then 3 minutes but its worth it.

Only on Youtube will you find people bitching and fighting over instant soup.
It's a soup, you tools. Not a critique of someone's culture and heritage.

he's like a marshmellow at a camp fire slowly burning becoming blacker by the second ,which represents where he will go when he dies [HELL]. japanese people have'nt any rights to their food customs once they are in america. lol dumb cunt
satanknight14 3 years ago

lets continue this you pokemaster cunt , mcdonalds will always be an american resteraunt because it makes america what it is ..FAT!! in japan its still american food because those little motherfuckers dont appriciate a good fattening burger , so fuck japan. they rather eat rice and vegetables and shit. also japan food is american because we over induldge in it more than they do, so we own it. we are greedy fuckers.
satanknight14 3 years ago
wow, come on man calm it down. and its only a hobby,im not obsessed w/pokemon. anyway why are you puttin down everyone, and then even dissing our own country? and this "ramen" here isnt even authentic,so it counts as american. and they eat what they eat because thats whats been native to the country and what they've been eating for hundreds of years. and they eat meat too, including beef. and if they didnt appreciate burgers, why would there be mcdonalds? just end this shit
adgf7577 3 years ago 3
ur never too old for pokemon, you know that?
bamboodlesh 3 years ago
yeah you're uneducated. AMERICA is a melting pot. and the chinese, japanese, and korean food that are made HERE are not authentic. it's americanized. asian people like HEALTHY food. it's just the way we were raised. so save your comments to yourself, white trash.

Hey im asian and i love ramen i eat it all the time and people who are racist are just over all mean!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
theminhister 3 years ago 10
I've been eating this for a year. I never knew the name of it, but its very good. Try eating straight from the pot.
MilanioCorps 3 years ago
Wow i thought i was the only one to do this!!! But i scramble the eggs then pour them in
junkyturd 3 years ago
My favorite version of this is the egg drop version, but I drop mine into my bowl and eat it partially raw. That is a little more authentic and how I was taught.

thanks for posting the video. i'm going to try this with the smart ramen because using regular ramen for this recipe wouldn't be considered healthy. plus smart ramen has a lot less sodium :D
animesexpot 3 years ago
how is ramen healthy? itsloaded with sodium that can cause gastric cancer
ROCKzeBEAT 3 years ago
Not if you buy the reduced sodium kind
jayy4life 3 years ago

I make mine exactly the way you do it. I just use one egg though. It taste really good. You guys should try it before saying anything.
Great video! A+

I wish you hadn't called that recipe "healthy" in the first video. It has wayyyyy too much sodium to be considered healthy.
