did you notice the car shifting hard from first to second if you dont accelerate right, say your behind someone who is sorta accelerating slow so you try and compensate but then it slowly gets to the shifting rpm and it seems like it drops hard into the gear?
@tandaman538 this one doesn't do that, however unless you really push it off the line, it will shift into 2nd gear at like 4mph which is REALLY annoying and saps power, the only way around this besides accelerating hard is to put it in Sport mode or use the manual shift gate
@mercmilan06 yeah cause its weird i have the exact same car like i just bought it and i realized that it does shift pretty hard and sport mode does eliminate that cause it shifts at a higher rpm but i still feel like i should be able to drive around with it in drive and not get that hard shift. its just weird because by the time i am through a light after being stopped im in like 3rd or 4th gear, and with sport mode it seems to shift hard into like 4th gear when you are only going to like 50km/h

@2000mercurysable it belongs to the Volkswagen dealer, Jetta is in because it is having a fairly common issue with the 2.0T, hard starting after it's been sitting...it should be the fuel pump, seems to be the most common fix
