  • wow i really enjoy these vidoes!

  • Good job! i really like your teaching! i watch ur video's everday ..

  • Thanks=)

  • I really like your videos!

I tried to learn the arabic alphabet just from copying a grid, but you explain WHY and HOW it should be written :)

    Thanks!

  • lol your funny. great vids

  • your so clever, i hope your intelligence and patience within your talent for teaching reward you big resulting in lots of fortune

  • Awesome! I would say Ba has it Below because Ba Below sticks in the mind better :) I just started watching these videos, and they are awesome!

  • i am watching the last part of the video here and all i can think of is that old van halen song "hot for teacher".... nice!

  • Thanks for the auxiliary line observation

  • Thank you so much for your help! You are truly amazing!

  • I love this, I have no other knowledge of Arabic yet but I'm going to start with these alphabet videos.

  • Thanks for sharing.

  • Shukran ktir for these lessons Maha! :D

  • Thanks! I just discovered your videos and I'm gonna watch them all to learn to read and write arabic properly!

  • @Yaiyasmin You interested in learning Arabic ?? ... lol

  • @riddler820 I already know how to read urdu, not perfectly but ok. Arabic is a little different, more difficult I think.

  • @Yaiyasmin تم نے کب اردو پڑھنا سیکھی ؟؟؟ صرف پڑھ سکتی ہو یا لکھنا بھی آتی ہے ؟؟

    ;-P ... now read lol

  • @riddler820 Tum ne kab urdu prhna sekhi??? Sirf prhskti hu ya akhna bhi ati he??

What I get from it is something like: You when urdu.... (I'm guessing "When did you learn urdu"? Don't know what prhna sekhi means). Then: Sirf=only... ya=or ... bhi=also...?

Common sense tells me it should mean something like "Only understand or speak also? or Only read or understand also? haha something like it. I read ok, understand very little, speak almost nothing.

Now feedback pls so i know how I did! ;)

  • @Yaiyasmin Ok... you did fine ;) ( if you are not taking any help from someone ) :P It was actually " When did you learn to read Urdu ? Can you read only or you also know how to write ? " .... parhna-پڑھنا means read, seekhi-سیکھی means to learn and it's likhna- لکھنا i.e. to write not 'akhna' .... ( you can use the google indic transliteration tool for more help ). Urdu is written in Perso-Arabic script ... people in Pakistan have also started to write Romanized Urdu :(

  • @riddler820 No I didn't use any help, just my wickid skills :P Aha ok yeah it just occurred to me now that alif doesn't connect with the k so yeah it makes sense it has to be lk and not ak. The main problem is the vowels since in urdu they're often not written, so if I don't already know the word I just have to guess which vowel, like "prhna".

  • Comment removed

  • @Yaiyasmin Hmm... about the vowel issue, in urdu Alif ' ا ' is added to show a vowel sound e.g. Umbrella ( امبریللہ) , Indigo ( انڈیگو ) , Elephant ( ا یلے فنٹ ) , Appeal ( اپیل ), Orange ( اورنج )........ Now though Europe starts with an 'E' but it doesn't give a vowel sound so in Urdu it's written without an 'Alif"..Europe - یورپ

You said you read ok, understand very little, speak almost nothing .... I suppose you can try to speak in Urdu with your Dad ... his Urdu is good enough !

  • @Yaiyasmin I will teach u
