  • so bloody awsome!!!

  • 0:28 he looked up from the violin XD

  • hey..it was really good...can you post the sheet music for this song..i tried googling it but couldn't find anything appropriate..i too play the violin ;)

  • @shankar1033 Look at OnlineLessonVideos they have it there, comhaltas doesn't have the sheet music because they just record it. Good luck and it's a pretty easy song to learn once you get the rolls.

  • AMAZING!!!!

  • Replay...

  • Can you guys stop fighting and enjoy the music?

  • Comment removed

  • You know, reading this back and forth argument is nearly as enjoyable as the music. In fact, it becomes TWICE as enjoyable while listening to the music itself. I find myself snort-giggling over the fact that we've got an "ALLCAPS EXPRESSES MY BUTTHURT IN THE BEST WAYS POSSIBLE" combatant and one who is trolling Captain ALLCAPS.

Plus to ice this cake of fail, this fight is happening on Youtube of all damn places.

Oh youtube, how you fill me with mirth.

  • @Scrooluse I've never heard an argument of the like summed up so perfectly! Kudos to you!

  • 13 people are classical violinists!

  • @TheGavinIhasz No. 13 people have no taste. As one classical violinist who loves this video I'm here to say that if anyone does not like this video it is proof that they have no heart at all.

  • i'm sorry if this sounds stupid, but what is the difference between fiddle and violin? :/

  • @LanaGame

nothing. the fiddle is a violin with soul

  • @LanaGame

There's no physical difference, it refers more to the style of music. Country, bluegrass, Irish/Celtic music, stuff like that is generally considered fiddle music.

  • This makes me want to dance!

Every time I meet someone who plays the fiddle, I'm like, "Oh, you're a fiddler? 'Scuse me while I get naked."

  • NERD FIDDLE RULES!

  • @jehovahuponyou What do you mean nerd?

  • @tchp - JUST WHAT I SAID, TURD.

NOTICE CORRECT USE OF PUNCTUATION, NERDOLOAFIPHILE!

  • @jehovahuponyou Jehova really shines though you.

  • @tchp - BETWEEN YOUR LACK OF PUNCTUATION AND YOUR SUX-ASS SPELLING, YOU HAVE NEAR SINGLE-HANDEDLY SET THE HUMAN RACE BACK ABOUT 600 YEARS, MAKES ME HIGHER ON THE FOOD CHAIN THAN YOU.

GET A LIFE LIL FELLOW, YOU SUX AT TRYING TO BEST AND/OR UPSET ME.

LOOK, I DIDN'T LIKE THE VIDEO, I MADE A THREE WORD POST, LET IT GO, GUY, NO HARM DONE EITHER WAY - OK? OK!

  • @jehovahuponyou  You make fun of a post for bad grammar, and then you use bad grammar, all caps, and bad spelling ("SUX"). Seems someone needs to work on insults.

  • @TheOneAndOnlyConley - MAYBE WHEN YOU GROW UP, YOU WILL UNDERSTAND SARCASM, MAYBE UNCLE CROOLEY WILL BUY YOU A SENSE OF HUMOR, AND MAYBE YOU WILL LEARN TO INSULT PEOPLE WITHOUT LOOKING LIKE SUCH AN ASS YOURSELF.

IN THE MEAN TIME, THIS IS AN ABC CONVERSATION, C YOUR WAY OUT - THANKS!

  • @jehovahuponyou Or maybe you should grow up, and stop your excuses every time you are caught being a dick. By the way if your going to use the "AB conversation so C your way out of it" thing, try to excllude the "C" in the "AB" part, otherwise you make your self look like an even bigger dick. :]

  • @TheOneAndOnlyConley - EXCUSES? WHERE!

YOUR NOSEY ASS MADE IT A THREE PARTY CONVERSATION, 'ABC' - SEE? IT IS TRUE I AM A DICK, BUT UNLIKE YOU, I AM NOT A STUPID DICK.

AND AS FAR AS I KNOW, YOU HAVE NOT CAUGHT MY BIG DICK, SO PLEASE STOP WITH THE VEILED SODOMITE PASSES YOU ARE MAKING TO ME.

WHY MUST YOU TORTURE YOURSELF, TRYING TO BEST ME IN THE WIT DEPARTMENT, NOW, RUN ALONG AND MAKE OUT YOUR LIST FOR SANTA!

    :^)

  • @jehovahuponyou :umad: Suck a dick you twat. You have no idea how bad you make your self look when you respond in such childish ways. Good day, sir

  • @TheOneAndOnlyConley - ROFL!

YOU DICKLESS LOSER - WHAT'S WRONG LIL BOY, CAN'T STAND THE HEAT?

YOU HAVE PROVEN YOURSELF A LOSER WITH EVERY POAT YOU MADE!

  • @jehovahuponyou I can't take the heat? I'm the one being calm and you think I can't take the heat? Hmm...yeah that's it, I can't take being called a dickless loser...hmm. I enjoy listening to music rather than argue your stupidity with you. Go ahead and flame my "poat", see if I care. Your just showing everyone who you truely are with every POST you make. In the mean time I'm going to enjoy the music. You should try the same it; its quite relaxing.

  • @TheOneAndOnlyConley - YOPU SAID: "Sux a dick you twat" - YES, VERY MATURE AND CALM INDEED.

YOU COME ON HERE, ALL PRIM AND PROPER AND TRY TO CORRECT ME? YOU DICKLESS BLURB!

I WOULD FLAME YOUR "POAT" IF I KNEW WHAT A DAMN POAT WAS.

    LOSER.

PS - I THOUGHT YOU TOLD ME 'BYE' IN YOUR LAST POST.

  • @jehovahuponyou SHUT THE FUCK UP

  • @captinkiller34 - AND THAT DROM A WILD EYED, PISOIL GRIP EARED SUCKER OF COCK - WHY DON'T YOU UP THE SHUT FUCK YOU SOW BELLIED ILLIRATE BASTARD!

HOPE I WASN'T TOO HARD ON YOU, I DID LIKE THAT LAST JERR'S KID POSTER YOU MADE - SO, SUCK ON OLD BUDDY!

  • Dude's good. Rural good.

  • How long would it take me to master a few tunes on the fiddle, as a complete novice?

  • @craigpsimpson

    looooooong!

  • @craigpsimpson you come be competent in 6-12 month with a lot of practice, to master is another story it would take years at the very least 5

  • Wow, the audience looks awfully depressed. No clapping? No foot stomping? ....NO BEER!? That is not the Irish I learned about in school. lol

  • @theBCdream ara come to the west in ireland...best place in the world!!!

  • @pinkimpulsions - Kitchen party!!!!

  • i respect your talent

  • good job if thats you

  • I'm not jealous! *sarcasm dripping from the page* I don't even play the fiddle!

  • absolutely savage, its some talent this fella has.

  • i wish i had his skills

  • is it me or do his fingers look like half a spider being electrocuted?

  • I was totally digging this until the shot of the totally lifeless deadbeat crowd near the end, haha. They ought to loosen up some more and enjoy stuff like this.

  • Listening from Sacramento California. Love this stuff. Thanks Aidan. I really should visit Ireland some day. I have an Irish name and relatives in County Kilkenny.

  • 2:31 Bill O' Riley loves it.

  • If that doesn't blow a girls panties of every time you do that somethings really wrong in the world.

  • @malow87 ty. that gave me my laughs for today.

  • @malow87 Problem is, it doesn't anymore. People have their priorities wrong.

  • @malow87 Mine are half way across my bedroom right now.

  • this proofs that adults or 16+ dont need to have an 4/4, as long as you can master the instrument ;)

  • Some of the techniques this guy uses are VERY difficult to do well. Take it from me, someone who actually plays Irish fiddle.

  • just... WONDERFULL :)

  • Listened to this 10 times straight: D

  • Dude! That' bad ass

  • wonderful ornaments

  • what those people who are saying brtish are racist is that.... Ireland is in Britain 0_o so your calling british people racist to irish even though the irish are in Britain 0_o or am i missing somthing :0

  • @ThePaopuFruitLover

Northern Ireland is part of the UK; however, Ireland is not "in" Britain seeing as they are two separate islands. The vast majority of Ireland is not part of the UK though.

  • @y0e0r0t is it ? 0_o gee i feel embarrised now :o i thought it were part of the british isles

  • Beautiful :)

  • ...........WHAT IS THE SONG NAME??????? I know I know it, not the same version, his is really choppy, but still, I KNOW I KNOW IT!!!! ARRRGGGHHHHHH

  • This sounds beautiful, and the guy is talented, but their is no emotion in the music, it is mechanical. And one thing about Irish folk music is it is full of emotion.

  • someone got scores for this music or similar would like to try it out

  • beautiful sound...

  • people are so racist..... "sigh" and this musics irish not celtic, celtics a huge range of countries etc. and im british so that casbah1982 can pipe it...

  • @95jjs People are so racist.... especially the British

  • @thomasbrennan3 funny guy.

  • @thomasbrennan3 Man you are dumb.

  • 11 people are British

  • @casbah1982 What the fuck are you on about you retard

    well done boy... fantastic

  • this is so addicting, i cant listen to it without replaying it a few times

  • wow

  • not to sound ignorant or stupid, but is there anything structurally different when comparing a violin to a fiddle?

  • @AxDeafeningxSilence Nope, it's the same instrument - the difference between them is usually considered to be the manner in which they are played :)

  • @horusophie okay. thats what i thought. thanks a bunch!

  • @AxDeafeningxSilence ..Ha ha ,nothin at all..but Irish? well, take us as ya find us???an yer opinions will be respected

  • lol, the jack layton advertisement looks quite a bit like the one that rick mercer made a few years back, the one with the kids, and little jack saying "its my turn, everyone else ahd a turn" and "canada needs strong leadership. im strong like the hulk, i can lift rocks" hahaha

  • Many people should stop talk about 11 people...

  • 11 people couldn't handle their Guinness...

  • hell i dont see how folks aint up danceing tot his. id be

  • this guy is amazing

  • What's this guy doing? He's only at the tip of his bow. This music NEEDS to be lively! I demand more emotion! >:D

  • He really has a uniquely wonderful sound. So light and so full of energy.

  • 10 blokes have their ears filled with sand

  • Stunning! Such long and limber fingers! Is that a big advantage on the fiddle? It would most certainly be so on the mandolin, banjo, or guitar where chord formations are also a consideration. But for single notes and double stops perhaps it is not some important? Asking only. Of course the way he can MOVE his fingers and bow arm not much else matters perhaps?

  • @Mandolin1944 ...Yea Brother, the man moves his fingers , like a Spider in happy mood???Isn't that like it should be?????

  • His fingers move so fast!

  • well that's a bow hold I've never seen, but awsome playing

  • Great playing man! Thanks from Providence, RI, USA!

  • Why you lifting your fingers so high? I couldnt do it that way! stunning though <3

  • This is just gorgeous. I can't say how many times I've listened to this as it is too many to count. You're very talented, Aidan!

  • That was awesome!

  • Beautiful!

  • and that he is playing to high or low on the neck or somthing like that, can someone explain this to me please?

  • i have a question, my friend, who was a veola player in middle school says the guy in the video, isnt playing a fiddle, and that he messed up a ton of times, i personaly think my friend is being retarted and is just thinking he is sounding smart but if he was talking to someone who knew this stuff, he would sound like an idiot. am i rite?

  • @extinctplace its a fiddle .. fiddle players don't have strict rules compared to violins in orchastras ! if he made a bunch of mistakes or if he was playing too high on the neck do you think he would of won the competition or be on youtube ? i can see where your friend is coming from but this is not a violia player we're watching .. its a fiddle :)

  • @extinctplace your friend hasn't a clue what hes talking about, i teach this instrument

  • @extinctplace absolutely

  • @extinctplace ...no ya arent rite, yer wrong......but yer absolved??'cos ignorance is bliss???

  • @extinctplace well , i personally think that you should't judge music by books and concepts , but by how it really sound.how is this fiddle sounding to you ?to me , it seems perfect :D

  • @skorpiotudor Well said.

  • BEAST

  • wonderful

  • Great sounding fiddle. Thank you, Aidan, from Boston! Merry Christmas......

  • I've been interested in starting to learn a strings instrument like this (learned violin) but I'd like to do fiddle... Is there a specific violin/fiddle needed for this music style?

  • @CelticGoddess111 The violin and Irish fiddle are actually the exact same instrument played with a different style. You will need to find a good teacher though, and they may be harder to find depending on where you live, but when you do find one and start getting good, it gets incredibly fun.

  • this makes me want to roundhouse an old lady

  • @Cuenca20 EXACTLY!

  • HAND CRAMP OUCH!

  • It's like i'm walking around the Shire next to Samwise Gamgee :p

  • @Cuenca20 and pippin and merry are there dancing around like twats :D

  • @Cuenca20 hahaha, same here haha

  • @Cuenca20 too true

  • :D I would like to learn how to play the fiddle like this. He plays real well.

  • This is the most . . . precise playing I've heard in a long while.

  • His fingers flail like screaming children.

  • Sounds like music they play in a pub full of bloody piss artist langers downing the black.

  • aw ive a dedly video of aiden in a session :O click on mi name !! :D

  • AidANNNNNN O'Neillllllllllll

  • I love Celtic music, especially violin.

    This guy must be encouraged.

  • @JOJOKERMIT I think winning the All-Ireland is a good place to start!

  • @JOJOKERMIT Agreed. But with all respect; that man isn't playing the violin. He's playin' the fiddle.

  • @JOJOKERMIT I love IRISH music, especially the FIDDLE.

and you think he needs to be encouraged ??!! encouraged to do what ? if you read the info above you might realise he doesn't need any encouragement at all.

  • I love you dude!!!

  • @thomas242007 It's not an uncommon name. I even have an uncle with the same name. The O'Neills have been around Ct Tyrone for more than 1500 years.

  • I,m English, and this gives me goose pimples when I listen to this, if, I was Irish, well.....

  • this guy rules with his fingers!

  • is that a metranome in the background? those things mess me up when im fiddling

  • @candycanechristmas1

He's tapping his foot! Quite hard too... but whatever works right?

  • Very precise and very rythmic - Good beat.

  • i wouldnt dream on throwing such beautiful music away because of some new rapper, classic irish fiddle is the one kind of music that i will never stop enjoying.

  • @Detano2 lady gaga

  • Masterful.

  • Tough crowd he's got there! I'd be sweatin bullets with all those grim stoney faces staring at me...
