Nice build and video, looking forward to the "real" video. :) I'm going to build the compact XM8 too, using a mix of SRC and GWS parts. The SRC plastic is much better than the one GWS used but I really want the GWS upper receiver due to the large XM8 marking.

its getting cold i personally dont think that body will hold up to the wear and tear and temp. factor so hopefully you can find old cybergun bodies for it

No. Most JG/CYMA G36 variants fire around the 700 RPM area on 8.4v batteries.

I have the TSD XM8 (od green) the construction on that feels really solid, to me atleast. With one big exception being with the stock, the locking mechanism broke so I have to keep it in the shortest position. I'm trying to find a way to fix it without just wrapping it with tape, but other then that I love it.

@SMCincorporated it wasn't really a failure in real steel. it was just too expensive. also he bought this as a good collector's item since an airsoft xm8 with hk trademarks are hard to find

@SMCincorporated Actually it both was and wasnt a failure in real steel - Was a failure cos it fucking sucked and wasnt a failure cos the US put 6 or so different guns(including the xm8) in a series of test to select the new standard rifle for the Marines/army whatever... and in one test to check how often it jams, the xm8 jammed 130 something times from 10k rounds beating the HK416, SCAR L.. all the boss rifles you can think of.

I really like the look of the carbine version as well. It's a shame the plastic isn't so great. JG internals? New wires and motor will make it fire a lot better for sure.

No offence, but im pretty sure that its just a SRC XM8 with a cut off front end. as for the internals i dont know but i think its just a SRC

No. This is a JG G36K with GunWorkShop XM8 conversion kit. The SRC model does not have trades.
