The 3 first girls were spectacular, but I rather think that miss Sweaden and USA was at least as pretty, if not prettier. Angela Visser 'beautyfied' herself later, but she looks a bit 'swollen' here. Miss Sweaden looked so incredibly lovely, natural and sweet, and perhaps USA was the most beautiful american girl ever.What a hard year to compete, poor Miss POland and Mexico, they might have won another year!

Angela was my neighbor in Los Angeles for many years. She was always very nice and so down-to-earth. Because of that I was a bit shocked when I found out she had been Miss Universe. I'd walk my dog past her very nice house and she'd always say hi and invite me over at times. And Angela's just as beautiful if not more than in this clip.

The delegates from Europe are either morons or look upon this as a joke. All south american girls want to win MU, but in Scandinavia, girls look upon beauty pageants as corny, the beauties are already models and very seldom want to run for miss Norway or Sweden etc. I doubt that even 0.5% of swedes even know who is miss Sweden, noone watches the event.

Me encantó la reacción de Angela cuando nombran a la suplente, y ella es Miss Universo, debo admitir que la mas bella era Miss USA pero la que hizo una deliciosa pasarela fué MIss Swedden muy picara y espontanea tal vez ella merecia la corona pero ahi mandan los jueces. en distintas epocas no puedes comparar q los puntajes promedio sean iguales, en los 70`s y hasta mediados de los 80`s los puntajes promedios casi nunca pasaban de 9.0, luego de 1987 se vieron picos muy elevados de puntajes, mostrando q cada grupo d jueces en sus respectivos años tenìa una matriz de evaluaciòn distinta al calificarlas, en 1981 podràs ver q Irene Sàez fuè la màs alta en todo y si comparas sus puntos con el resto d sus competidoras veràs ella siempre les sacò mucha ventaja

Angela was my neighbor in Los Angeles for many years. She was always very nice and so down-to-earth. Because of that I was a bit shocked when I found out she had been Miss Universe. I'd walk my dog past her very nice house and she'd always say hi and invite me over at times. And Angela's just as beautiful if not more than in this clip.

The delegates from Europe are either morons or look upon this as a joke. All south american girls want to win MU, but in Scandinavia, girls look upon beauty pageants as corny, the beauties are already models and very seldom want to run for miss Norway or Sweden etc. I doubt that even 0.5% of swedes even know who is miss Sweden, noone watches the event.
And how many Euro girls want to leave their families for a year, being guarded by chaperones, if they win MU, racing around Latin America...

Me encantó la reacción de Angela cuando nombran a la suplente, y ella es Miss Universo, debo admitir que la mas bella era Miss USA pero la que hizo una deliciosa pasarela fué MIss Swedden muy picara y espontanea tal vez ella merecia la corona pero ahi mandan los jueces. Miss México Adriana Abascal me gustó pero siento que tuvo una actitud muy soberbia y fria.

en distintas epocas no puedes comparar q los puntajes promedio sean iguales, en los 70`s y hasta mediados de los 80`s los puntajes promedios casi nunca pasaban de 9.0, luego de 1987 se vieron picos muy elevados de puntajes, mostrando q cada grupo d jueces en sus respectivos años tenìa una matriz de evaluaciòn distinta al calificarlas, en 1981 podràs ver q Irene Sàez fuè la màs alta en todo y si comparas sus puntos con el resto d sus competidoras veràs ella siempre les sacò mucha ventaja
