We need to realize that the American public won't allow a "Mr. Smith" these days, so all serious candidates are going to be politicians. We have to choose SOMEONE, and someone who can carry through to the White House. He would be a good president b/c he is able to cross party lines and work with PEOPLE in general. What Obama has said is he'd withdraw all combat troops and leave just enough to guard an embassy like we do in just about every foreign country in the world. He also said he'd want a small reactionary force of special ops guys based somewhere near Iraq to respond quickly to any Al Qaeda shananigans, etc.
