officially, the age is 16. but i managed to get by last year being 14. some reenactments are pretty loose about it. kind of the "if anyone asks, you're 16" kinda thing. i'm still fifteen at this point, a month away from 16, and ive carried a functional weapon into battle 4 times since august of '08.

im a private in a missouri based unit called "Elliott's Scouts". we're dismounted cavalry.

There were film makers at this re-enactment. There is another movie in the making about the War. My brother went back there later to do some more filming. He lives about 50 miles from there.

I was at the first re-enactment in Jefferson. It's really a good one. Lots of visitors attend. It's called Battle of Jefferson's Landing, but there was never a real battle there. My great grandfather went there after he was released from prison in New Orleans.
