I was in the audience on this TOTP. I took about 5 takes to get the visual right and Rob couldn't mime. I didn't mind though, Priest were my fav band! This is still an awesome track.
These guys changed the world forever with the sound of their music and the image they brought. They are true pioneers. I can hardly wait for the day to visit the U.K. to see the birth place of metal. Rob Halford coming out and his activism for gay rights was done before the laws of land started to be revised. With all of the teen suicides and bullying over the recent few years,Rob is a person that came out. I am sure he helped others when he did.
It's a real shame what happened with Dave Holland. I've always thought he fit the bands sound well. I really like the Les Binks era and Scott Travis' work on Painkiller.

I think they did this to stop the bands from saying something they may consider offensive so it wouldn't be aired on live TV. I'm sure that if it was up to Priest they'd much rather perform live any day.

emeraldxm. You seem to think you have your finger on the pulse but in fact it's stuck up your arse. For educational purposes most Priest fans would regard the period between 1974 and 1979 as 'early'. Priest were in fact formed in 1968. I for one first saw them in 1978 prior to this crap.
Please do take my advice though and go to your Doctor and get your fucking tinnitus sorted.
