Ce second album ne fut pas réalisé dans l'esprit. D'élégantes concessions à objectif commercial qui n'auront apporté ni la popularité espérée ni la fidélité au messager. Dommage... Les morceaux sont, bien évidemment, parfaits mais... mais...
I am so happy I've found nick drake. It's only been a few days, but every time I hear a new song, he teaches me more and more. Musically, lyrically, and even just how I feel about life. This song especially, is something I wish I could have written. It's exactly what I've been looking for.
Btw does anyone else hear the ending of dark side of the moon album during the "nobody knows" parts
I have an addiction with trying to find more and more nick drake songs, i was happy to find some of the comps, island records came out with (basically new takes of old songs, and home recordings of cover songs) It was amazing to listen to these, I've got about 300 of Nicks songs on my iPod, its sad he's dead but I've got what he left, where ever i go. RIP Nick, you were to good for this world.
neccsity is the mother of vanites, and nessesisty the mother of creation. if all the woman were killed how would they repopulate, with stealing wifes? no then the litter would be bastarded. and the blood line. drinking menstral fluid.
@toshaandthomas nick is great but u have to hand it to the other guys - boyd's vision and then deciding what instruments and who to play them -u got super quality musicians improvising on here - not directed at all by nick - this song for me is a total group effort- song alone and nick melody is not that special compared to his other bare stuff -nick disliked this album after as he said it was over processed and he wanted the music to be about just his creation/vision- hence the pink moon album
@callunaling yes that may be true but he did hum alot of the melody lines he wanted the other instruments to play according joe boyd i believe, i could be wrong it could of just been on the five leaves left he did that but i am pretty sure he knew what he wanted it to sound like to a t.

Nice tune. Love the Background vocals. Gives the whole song more street credentials.

It takes talent to do self-mockery without any self-pity. Masterful.

It gives me hope that he could have a sense of humor about his own depression. So lovely.

Nick Drake was a beautiful sensitivegifted singer songwriter. A tragedy he passed so young. Things could have turned out much brighter later.
