Well I heard theirs alot of security there. I really dont care though. Im goin reguardless. And if I get caught, it would still be worth the expierience of being there. I love visiting place like these. I always do alot of research before then. And watch many of documentaries. I want to expierience this place myself. ive been there 3 times during the night once thought the whole night exlporing untill it was morning as soon as it hit morning there where cars driving everywhere and people talking it was scary getting out but the last time at night i was there i got spotted without actually getting cought do you guys have more luck there in the morning or at night not seeing any one? the very first 2 times there was no one there we walked around made noise no one untill the morning the next time bam didnt

One more thing in regards to the kids being there. Its cool that youre teaching them history ebcause the place is definitely full of history, but taking them in the buildings is really dangerous. The security people told us that we were crazy for walking around in the buildings because they are so full of asbestos, it could make you really sick just walking around in there for a short time without wearing a mask...

Everyone who is sayong that security just lets you roam around the place is full of it. My friends and I were there in September, and were approached by a whole bunch of security people who promptly called the police and had us escorted off the property with just a warning thank god...they did however tell us if we are ever caught on the property again, that we will be arrested for trespassing and get a hefty fine.

Good job on taking your kid in there, your obviously the best parent in the world. Hope the little dude doesn't get cancer. I've been there a few times and i know that just from walking to heavy kicks up dust. PLUS its a national guard post, so if you do get caught they can get you for trespassing on government property. If they would have found you there with that kid, that's child endangerment. Seriously..., use your head next time.

I've been there about twenty times with my kids everytime and never had a problem with security. They tell me the best place to park and to be careful. The property is owned by the veterans Hospital and ther is no National guards there. Also that is not called child endangerment...dumb ass...use your head next time before you speak.

Your obviously retarded. I have friends that have been stationed there, they use the buildings for urban combat training. Go down pennhust and turn right on church street, about a quarter mile after the VA hospital . As for your kids, i hope they get lung cancer or fall through the floor, maybe that will teach you.

I sure hope nothing does happen to his kids. You will sure feel bad for wishing such horrible things on innocent children. It is the parents that need to be responsible and do what they believe is best for their children. If they make a bad choice, we should never wish harm to the children. It is not their fault! They are doing as they are told whether right or wrong. I would not want my children there for safety reasons but, they may not feel the same way. They are there, not me.

yes it's there but you shouldn't worry about it. Watch out for holes in the floors and unstable floors.

Actually the reason that all those building have not been demolished is because they are LOADED with asbestos and lead paint. The cost was just too high and there is no funding to complete the job. This is the same reason the Linfield distillary is still standing along with other abandoned factories and institutions in the area. Short term exposure is not a problem; but if you are one of those people that worry about second-hand smoke, this is WAY worse than that !

Security Gaurds? I've been there a million times and never encountered any secuirty gaurds. Got caught once by construction workers who called the cops. But never any security gaurds. I cant imagine what rent-a-cop would want to be posted there.
