ive just started playing this on my chipped wii (sweet) its very hard compared to the arcade version (which ive got) you cant get 60+ golds so its hard to get good armour, but ive managed to get to the end of game boss, but cant find the legendary sword its not in the usual place? anyone know where to get it?
@oldskooldancemusic1 to answer my own question i found that when you buy the legend armour in my case the hidden shops on the last but one stage (in the castle walls) you get the sword for free! i think you might need the legend sword and boots too to make it work though. chuffed now just completed it.
This one looks good but the master system version is total doodoo feces. The biggest problem with master system version, is youy cant jump forward and stab at the same time, if u do u stop gping forward and it drops straigt down.
I can beat the whole game on one quarter int the arcade. I can tell you this, the sound is almost arcade perfect on this. If you drop a couple whirlwind before u make secret money appear it wil be 60+ moneys.
@duhmez Ah! I saw a speedrun when someone did stuff like that and I wondered what it was. They were just avoiding enemies but getting loads of gold still. Nice one, thanks for the tip!
@PSI236 What is also interesting is the big gold tricks don't work at all on the master system version. I suspect they may not work on the pc engine version either, but who knows. There are more tricks, shake left and right quickly on gold spots can make it hapen too, and if u dont got tornados, fireballs,bombs, antjhing else will work sometimes, but the whirlwinds are definately best. Buy them whenever u can just for the purpose of gold, dont kil enemies with them.
@PSI236 And finally, if you can sit in a spot where u get hit on purpose by an enemy, and get knocked into a spot where money appears, it wil also be 65-68 golds, every time. Maybe ill post a mame video sometime highlighting these tricks.
