That was very enjoyable Austin. There wasn't that much Bittern in the mix! I particularly enjoyed the last clip of the 7F leaving Goathland which was beautifully executed (despite a slight hitch which I won't mention!). It was nice to see our 'local' N2 producing good performances, admittedly with some assistance.
Many thanks Mike, I presume the hitch you mention was the slight zoom in and then after I realised which way the button went, zooming out! I thought I had got away with that but a true pro like yourself was bound to spot it. Sadly there was a problem with the N2 on the Saturday so I didn't manage any more shots of her.
Thanks, I enjoyed that shot but think I should have zoomed in on the loco and then zoomed out to show the waterfall, ah well, there's always next time!
I love this line, and what an excellent video Austin, of particular note was Bittern's departure from Goathland, and the S&D 7F's departure from Goathland at the end...Ivo Peters eat your heart out....brilliant work...Bob
Thanks Bob, such a long time since I had visited the line, it really is the best line to see locos working hard. I like to think that shot of the 7F captures a little of the S & D passing through the beautiful countryside
By looking at this movie, I made a journey in past. It is a marvel, Austin. The recording of the train over the waterfall is magnificent. Thanks. Regards. Philippe
Thanks Steve but do you have to rub it in that I'm a bit of an old b****r. ha ha! I last visited in 1988, can't think why I've never been since as its the place to go to see engines working hard
A really nice video of the gala and like the variety of shots used and if i could rate it 5* then i would i went to the gala on the monday and posted a vid on youtube..
Cracking footage. Really wanted to get to this gala but can't make any of the weekends. I usually make all the Moors steam galas and a week in the summer because I love this area...................the steam trains on 1in49 might also have something to do with it!
Thanks, I agree the area is really scenic and although the weather was chilly and cloudy apart from Sunday there were some excellent performances from the locos and crews despite a few hitches
Thanks Mike, it was a good weekend despite them having a few much publicised problems, these things happen. I'm sure you won't be disappointed if you get up next weekend.
Exelent stuff Austin, That is a great railway, did not make it to those first two,due to unforseen circumstances, and i only live 10 miles away from it,gonna do the next one, hopefully overlooking the station at Levisham.Thumbs up all the way...John
Many thanks John, it is a great line, probably the best to see locos working hard. This was my first visit since 1988, won't be leaving it as long next time.
Lovely Jubbly!

Merci Philippe, cette ligne traverse un parc national avec de magnifiques paysages. Ce fut une longue marche pour la prise de vue de la cascade !
