For how long can the Nighthawk Eco-Drive function without light ?

The hour hand set is intended to make it simple to change the hour based on time zone changes. It should jump to the correct position between the hour marks based on where the minute hand is, basically advancing one hour at a time. The 24 hour dial remains set to your "home" time, essentially keeping dual time while you are traveling, as it is intended as a pilot's watch.

Does anyone know how to set the calendar of nighthawk? For example, this year has 28 days only in Febuary. So the watch itself showed me 31st instead, I have no idea how to change the system to 2011 March .thanks

Because you have not fully charged the battery. Leave the watch face up in a sunny window, or even under a lamp or flashlight for a while.

I'm not sure why you said that it's a good bracelet, because the bracelet on this thing is so light and cheap feeling that it almost feels like plastic. It's certainly nothing like the Orange Monster's bracelet...

In fact, the bracelet killed it for me. In person it looks much worse than in your video IMO.

I have not seen any fakes of this watch.

The Dials that do not say Nighthawk are European Models, otherwise known as the "Promaster Sky."

I would say find an Ebay seller with TONS of positive feedback, like over 5000, and you will be fine. Premierworld or Japantime are both reliable Ebay'ers.

Otherwise you will need to get one used or find an AD willing to deal.

Most AD's can suffer a 40-48% cut off the "sticker" price, so do some wheeling and dealing.

i have been thinking alot about that problem and how to be sure that the things you buy on Ebay are 100% authentic.

The problem is, that countefiting is a vast market worldwide.

Watch companies have employees travelling around the world,

just to buy fake watches, and comparing how they are made.

In China there's several shopping malls that only sell fake products of famous brands. On Ebay there's people selling fake medicine, with holograms and all on the package.

@jimmenlybobble That's why im thinking about buying my watch from a reliable store, and i think that doing that, and i think it's many times funnier and more rememberable doing that, than just clicking and ordering online. The only downer is that It will probably cost more, hence people buying online now

@rubyscorner well i bought mine from a shop in the end to ensure authenticity, it is a great watch and the night glow is awsome, even if you have been in the dark for like 6 hours like in bed, it glows and you can see the time. i also noticed the ones which say nighthawk are better as the number markers are bigger, i would like a new citizen watch like this for a change but this seems the best one

I knew you would be very happy with the Nighthawk as a worthy replacement to your Seiko GMT Kinetic SUN005. I have had my Nighthawk for 6 months already and still consider it to be one of the best watch designs ever made by Citizen. The day Citizen pulls the plug on it you be this watch will become an instant classic.

its bcoz when you at home the time in the normal watch and the 24 hours is same , but if you travel outside and lets say the time diffrence is +3 so you open the crown on first click and jump the hour 3 hours forward , then you will have the time here on the country you visit and you have your home time in the 24 hours time in the back , so the first click out of the crown moves only the hours of big quartz , but the second click out sets the both of times , in case if the watch is wrong or stop

thanks for the review brayan , i have one of these too , but the one with the sport grey/black leather and textile strap its much lighter than this one and more comfortabe , but dont go and sell your watch for that :P , anyway there is two things . 1- the watch is water proof 200 feet inder the water , 2- do you know why the first click out on the crown moves only the hours ?? and the second one move the hours and munets and as you said the first click out makes the watch jumps to the next hour
