La mayoria de vampiros se alimentan de frutas e insectos. Los hay que incluso se alimentan de pescado;-)

Aquí en Guadalajara México hay una especie de murciélago vampiro como del doble de tamaño, no se acercan a los lugares poblados, vivos solo los he visto en el zoológico. También hay unos grandes que se alimentan de frutas y aparecen en algunos extremos de la ciudad.

Sí, ya se recuperó y fué devuelto a la naturaleza. No sabemos exactamente cual es el problema que tuvo, salvo que fué encontrado en el suelo durante el día (donde nunca debería estar y hubiese sido presa de algún otro animal). Tal vez solo estaba deshidratado.
