  • Hey man you use a flashback arrestor along with the reset. I just made my first torch and them arrestors work.

  • i may use a flashback arrestor with some upcoming tests i have planed. I plan on getting some real high outputs and a flash arrestor will cause to much back presser. I want to get a bullet proof safety system that does no use flow restricting devices.

  • Just had a though about power supplys, something like the controler out of a treadmill or anyhting else that has a dc motor.

  • that probably would work. I tried to us my welder as a power supply but that did not work. i clamped the leads on and it just made the noise like i stuck the rod to metal and did not do any thing to my cell.

  • Yeah I thought a welder would work to.

  • At least no one was hurt. Where did you find that power supply?

  • i got it on eBay. It was $19 for a buy it now. and $30 for shipping. At the time he did have more for sell. Even though i knew i would have to get 220 installed in the garage it was such a good price for that many amps i had to get it. If you want more info let me know and i will send you this guys info.

  • I did build the PWM from the design of zerofossilfuel, (go see his youtube channel, there you can find the URL to his website to see how to build one for yourself, he made it easy to do) and it is working PERFECT. But it is NOT possible to regulate the voltage. You can regulate the amps. and frequency, and duty cycle, and there is a current limiter build in as well so you can set the max current. But you CAN'T change the voltage with the PWM from zerofossilfuel.

Guys, correct me if I am wrong...

  • go to Lutherp40's page he did a series of videos on the zff pwm and show how to dial in the efficiency. If i am missinterpreting it than i may have to do something else. but thanks for the comment. And keep up the good work.

  • Yes safety is a must with this stuff,I have learned first hand. You ought to hear a gallon if that stuff explode..I blew a pvc bubbler up my self I while back..Keep up the good work man .

  • A Gallon! i bet that was loud!

By the way did you get the main bubbler blow off working?

  • not yet , I havent had any free time..I look to work on it this weekend..

  • good luck!

  • You can use a cordless drill trigger for your PWM!!

I do and it works great!!!!!!!!

Just make shore it is rated for at least 12volts and 20amps!

    Happy new year!!!!!

  • Happy new year to you also! I did use the drill trigger in the past. (probably saw a video of yours) and in the future i need something that can handle a lot of amps and one i can set and forget about.
