I got my Carl Sagan buttons last week. All have fallen victims to accidents and poor design. I will get more however.

Organized religion stifles the human spirit. Religions put their followers in bondage using todays scientic technology that they use to crucify people for. In the clip used here, Sagan talks with excitement about living at a time humans first get to see the planets up close. That's probably how Galileo Galilei felt looking through his telescope, and we know where he ended up.

How mean spirited you are to call him a liar and a sinner even after his death, when he has never been hostile towards the subject of religion, but simply respectfully chose not to believe in it. Oh please Keystone, you could learn a few things from good human beings like Carl Sagan, he never approached the subject of religion with hostility, and yet you label him a liar and a sinner, even after his death. Sagan was calm and collective and never forecful with his opinions. even if you don't agree with peoples views, it's childish to say any given person is going to be tormented in hell. you are intolerant and hateful.

There is no need for such a blant and ruthless statement. Carl Sagan simply says "extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence." He, like millions of others, simply didn't see this supported in the words of religion.
