my husb has one & used to get stopped by the cops ALL the time in it. He was even stopped bc his license plate was dirty. It wasnt. I guess they thought he was running moonshine or drugs or something. It happened too many times to be a coincident.
@gunny426plymouth Amen gunny, they are taking over right before our eyes. I could not said it is better. Plymouth made some of the best looking cars. I do not think they ever got the credit they should have! My dad had a 1969 Fury 3. Nice car, small V-8 318 but it would go when you needed it! Space added looking dash. it was a tank. 22 cubic foot trunk!

I was pissed when I heard Chrysler ''stole'' the pt cruiser from plymouth because they were cutting it out in 01 if they did give it to pplymouth huh we'd be drooling over new road runners and cuda's now!!!!
My brother had a 1970 GTX. It was blue with black racing stripes. It had the 440-6 pack with a 4-speed manual trans and a 4:11 rear with posi-traction. It could do 110 in 3rd and the fastest it ever went was 185.
i had a 70 GTX with a 440 super Commando (4bbl to u) with 3.23 gears. THat car easily hit 150mph. My 70 383 super bee did the same. The wipers started to sweep upward and the front end started to float!
@RDG484 I know this is 2 years old, but you are either badly mistaken or a little fabricator. A 440 is not going to run 185 with 4:11 gears. Anyway Mopar uses 4:10 gears chevy is a 4:11. I owned a 70 GTX myself in the day and with 3:55 gearing it would top out at about 130. Remember big blocks redlined at 5800 and they didn't have overdrive back then.

I had a 1970 plymouth satllite, I put 178.000 miles on it tn the 15 years that I own it. When I sold it I got 250l. buck for it,.

The shape of the grille was a way to transition between the blocky 69s and the curvy 71s.Buyers however werent buying.70 sales fell drastically.
