  • What an incredible man! from Tokyo

  • Also, it's incredible how only a few weeks later, Elton had an operation on his throat which changed his voice forever!

  • Wow!!

  • Great melody and lyrics... One of his favorites. And mine too.

I love his costumes as well.

    However 0:45 why he laughed???

  • this version of candle in the wind was my favorite EJ song of all time. i went to this venue in 1991 in sydney and always remember this song/experience as my favorite EJ of all time. he is a legend.. has been for 30 years.

  • I remember when this aired! This was my first exposure to Mz. Elton John!

  • Breathtaking

  • hollywood created a superstar-

  • and pain was the price you paid

  • It seems to me, you lived your life -.

  • the toughest role you ever played.

  • Loneliness was tough

  • Yes I see what you mean. I was just commenting that it was the Melbourne symphony orchestra that came to sydney to perform with Elton. In retrospect it's a little strange. I would have thought that the Sydney Symphony Orchestra could have done the job just as well but maybe they were on tour at the time. Anyone know?

  • The concert was the last in a series of 27 performances covering all of Australia. The tour had begun in Brisbane and had played the capacity audiences everywhere, including Melbourne, Adelaide.........

Perhaps this is an answer - he was touring with this orchestra. Anyway, thank you for this!

  • @Shaun17170 I think it was because Elton did 8 concerts in Melbourne with their orchestra and it makes sense to use them as they knew what to play and it saved time with rehearsals
