i don't know much about music theory but, you know the way tom sings lower live to the recording on the cd? what exactly is he doing? like you know the way david has the capo and all. i wanna know what thats called? taking down a key, a pitch, octave? and could you explain. cheers if you can help! =P

@1991PGAVA182 it's to change the key if you're using open strings. for example capoing the second fret, the E string would become F sharp. the A string would become B. Angels and airwaves have a tendency to switch keys at live shows.

But, apart from that....he's one of the brightest songwriters from the new generation....He's astounding...just check out all the hits from Blink and AVA....he's the heart and soul of both bands...and that is simply astonishing...
