@bigbadreddog It was KMart's theme song (at least in Australia) for their ads from about 2000 to maybe 2003, when they replaced it with Two Princes by the Spin Doctors. But hey, way to talk up an Aussie pop/rock classic.

Never heard this Judd song before - You have to work very hard to have a hit in the UK if you are not British or American. Regarding the convict thing - how long are people going to go on about something that ended well over a hundred years ago? I'm British and I'M sick of hearing about it every time you read something about Australia - it was another sorry episode in English history and it's thankfully over, Siyill, you are a plank. @siyill Only a small percent of the first settlers were convicts.Most were free settlers who came here after Australia was found to be rich in resources.Most of the convicts were arrested on trivial grounds like stealing bread.It was less about getting rid of a criminal element and more about thinning out the poor underclass.

@siyill you should read a bit about who the prisoners were before you post assumptions. it is true that most aussies are descendants of 'criminals' but the english in that period would arrest people for stealing fruit and other very minor crimes. the people that were shipped to australia were merely trying to survive because they had started with nothing in England
